Primary Purpose
The Fulfillment Advanced Analytics role will work collaboratively with the digital product managers, fulfillment data visualization analysts, data scientists, IT, technical teams, and the fulfillment teams to develop analytical solutions to enable reporting end users to understand and improve fulfillment performance. This role will be expected to develop a deep understanding of the fulfillment business processes and how these processes are captured and reflected in our data environments and use this knowledge to consult on data pipelines and develop data models and dashboards to support the fulfillment and brand operations teams. This position will consult with our product managers and business stakeholders to create analytical solutions, including ML/AI solutions, for their largest business challenges.
Our flexible/ hybrid work schedule includes 3 in-person days at one of our core locations and 2 remote days. Our core office locations include Salisbury, NC and Quincy, MA.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Lead collaboration with IT to structure fulfillment and digital data in a way that will make it accessible for creating analytical tools for fulfillment. This will include working with IT to identify and leverage new technology to access data in such a way to facilitate analysis and insight development. This will require expertise in data engineering and data modeling necessary for synthesizing data into actionable business opportunities
- Work closely with product managers and IT engineers to sustainably scale and deploy fulfillment data products and data models
- Mentor Fulfillment COOPs by providing project oversight, guidance, and development
- Lead and engage in discussions with leadership about innovative approaches to analysis and the implications of different data, while building alignment on the results.
- Research future states of processes or insights we can leverage to help our robust Fulfillment and brand operations teams
- Presenting new initiatives and tools to the stakeholders for review
Qualifications
- 5+ years relevant experience
- Knowledge of retail operations and/or e-commerce grocery fulfillment is a plus
- Bachelor's Degree in computer science, business, economics, engineering, math, statistics, or other quantitatively oriented major; Master's Degree in similar quantitative field preferred
- Expertise in Microsoft Azure, Databricks, Power Bi, Python, R and SQL. Advanced capabilities in Microsoft Office; Mastery of Excel and PowerPoint;
- Significant experience with data engineering, data modeling, operational reporting, predictive analytics, statistics, and structured problem solving
- Ability to understand fulfillment operations and system applications and how data from these processes and systems are reflected in a complex data ecosystem
- Ability to perform data modeling and bring together data from different sources and levels of detail to create business-relevant insights
- Strong oral and written communication skills and confidence sharing strategic analytics with senior leaders
- Ability to develop a structured approach to complex questions and quickly form a hypothesis against which to run test analyses.
- Exposure to tools and platforms such as Hadoop, Hive clusters, Apache Spark, and Scala is a plus
