Involved in all aspects of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) including analyzing requirements, incorporating architectural standards into application design specifications, documenting application specifications, translating technical requirements into programmed application modules, and developing or enhancing software application modules. Identify or troubleshoot application code-related issues. Take active role in code reviews to ensure solutions are aligned to pre-defined architectural specifications. Assist with design reviews by recommending ways to incorporate requirements into designs and information or data flows. Participate in project planning sessions with project managers, business analysts, and team members to analyze business requirements and outline proposed solutions.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum education and experience required: Master's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field of study plus 3 years of experience in the job offered or as a Software Engineer, Application Developer, IT Consultant, or related occupation. The employer will alternatively accept a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field of study plus 5 years of experience in the job offered or as Software Engineer, Application Developer, IT Consultant, or related occupation.
Skills Required: Requires at least six (6) months of experience with the following: React: building responsive dynamic user interfaces with React; Amazon S3: secure data storage and management using Amazon S3 for scalable storage solutions; AWS Lambda: designing serverless functions with AWS Lambda, focusing on event-driven architectures; Docker: creating containerized applications using Docker for streamlined development and deployment; Kubernetes: deploying, scaling, and managing containerized applications on Kubernetes clusters; JSON: working with JSON for data exchange and API integration; XML: handling XML, including parsing, validation, and transformations for application integrations. Requires experience with the following Microservices: architecture for scalable and modular application development; J2EE: enterprise-grade applications, including servlets, JSP, and EJB; JavaScript, developing interactive front-end web applications; Spring Boot: building microservices and REST APIs with Spring Boot for rapid application development; Maven: project build and dependency management using Maven; HTML: structuring and presenting content on the web; CSS: styling and creating visually appealing, responsive designs; Agile SDLC: iterative and incremental software development; Spring: Spring Framework for enterprise-level Java applications, including MVC and DI; Hibernate: Hibernate ORM for seamless data access and object-relational mapping; Java: building robust and efficient applications; RESTful Web Services: designing and implementing RESTful web services for client-server communication; JUnit: unit testing with JUnit to ensure code quality and reliability.
