Job Description
DESCRIPTION:
Duties: Design, develop and implement software solutions. Solve business problems through innovation and engineering practices. Involved in all aspects of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) including analyzing requirements, incorporating architectural standards into application design specifications, documenting application specifications, translating technical requirements into programmed application modules, and developing or enhancing software application modules. Identify or troubleshoot application code-related issues. Take active role in code reviews to ensure solutions are aligned to pre-defined architectural specifications. Assist with design reviews by recommending ways to incorporate requirements into designs and information or data flows. Participate in project planning sessions with project managers, business analysts, and team members to analyze business requirements and outline proposed solutions.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum education and experience required: Master's degree in Applied Computer Science, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Information Technology, Electronic Engineering, or related field of study plus 3 years of experience in the job offered or as Software Engineer, Software Developer, Technical Implementation Consultant, or related occupation. The employer will alternatively accept a Bachelor's Degree in Applied Computer Science, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Information Technology, Electronic Engineering, or related field of study plus 5 years of experience in the job offered or as Software Engineer, Software Developer, Technical Implementation Consultant, or related occupation.
Skills Required: This position requires three (3) years of experience with the following: Working with Information Technology with an emphasis on application development throughout the entire development life cycle; Utilizing Java Development to create medium/large sized Java web applications including client interactions, system design, frontend/UI development, interaction with Java EE application server, and web services; Working with Java EE APIs; Working with development builds using Maven pattern builds; application deployments using Jenkins, Jules and Jfrog artifactory; intergration/enterprise testing utilizing Wiremock, Hoverfly, Jmeter and Blaze meter; support of applications within a production environment using Grafana, Splunk and Dynatrace; Implementing Micro services using Spring Boot and Event Driven architecture; working with RDBMS and Service Oriented Architecture (SOA); working with REST, JSON, XML Web APIs development; Working with Spring MVC, Spring data and Spring Security; working with testing frameworks including Cucumber, Selenium, and Junit; working with mock testing frameworks including EasyMock and Mockito; working with SQL and Databases including Oracle, Cockroach, Cassandra, and HBase; Working with Java performance testing, debugging and profiling tools including Yourkit Java Profiler; and working with AWS Cloud Services.
