The Risk & Fraud team at Q2 is responsible for helping our customers take a
proactive stance against fraud and managing the risks of their business. We
build and enhance products that evolve with the ever-changing fraud
landscape, delivering tangible value for our customers. Our solutions enable
them to focus more of their time and energy on their mission: best serving
their customers and communities.
As a Backend Software Engineer, you will be embedded on the team that’s
creating the product line, focusing on the backend systems. You will be
responsible for developing the data and application architecture. Successful
candidates will possess an innate desire to take on challenging problems and
enjoy working cross-functionally with other members of the team.
- Design, implement, integrate, and test software solutions of moderate
- complexity, with a focus on high availability and resiliency.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate across teams, as
- required, to ensure successful delivery of solutions to production
- systems.
- Support, maintain, and resolve problems in our products and features.
- Ensure adherence to all security, confidentiality and privacy policies
- and controls.
- Assist and mentor teammates to provide technical leadership and
- evangelize best practices
- Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and a
- minimum of 2 years of related experience; or an advanced degree; or
- equivalent related work experience.
- Proficiency in Python. Experience with pyspark or Snowpark is nice to
- have.
- Proficiency in SQL. Experience with dbt is nice to have.
- Experience implementing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience building applications using a cloud-native, service-oriented
- architecture.
- Experience in all aspects of the software development life cycle.
- Nice to have experience: airflow, Snowflake, docker, Kubernetes,
- Gitlab.
This position requires fluent written and oral communication in English.
