Design, develop, modify, enhance, and implement software systems designed to support new or existing business initiatives. This position is critical to the on going work in Charter's Conversational IVR. This position performs duties primarily related to the planning and implementation of new functionality being delivered in this space as well as the operational support and reporting that provide transparency of the effects of the changes made in the platform. These activities primarily occur during business hours working with the business and delivery stakeholders.

WHAT OUR SOFTWARE ENGINEER III MOST
- Support IVR(Interactive Voice Response) applications/system.
- Participation and troubleshoot in production outages of the applications.
- Prepare for Daily deployments.
- Support the implementation of new functionality, technology/infra upgrades.
- Remediate Security Vulnerabilities.
- Monitoring tools: Setting/Updating alerts
- Script automation.
- SQL/DB knowledge - ORACLE, SQL SERVER, MONGO DB
- Telecom experience - Avaya, Genesis or similar
- AI/ML experience.
- Understand and apply different SDLC processes, particularly Agile and Scrum; participate fully in Scrum rituals.
- Understand and apply applicable technology security and industry regulatory and legal compliance considerations.
- Work on RCAs.
- Problem tickets.
- Provide an LOE on a project / feature level.
- Contribute to technical requirements and technical design documents.
- Collaborate with other team members to identify and solve technical problems.
- Respond to customer inquiries around the behavior of the developed software.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation.
- Ensure legal, regulatory, process, and security compliance of the code contributed to their application.
WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO SPECTRUM
Required Qualifications
- Experience:
- Database Management Systems - 1-3+ years
- Coding, testing, and designing software - 1-3+ years
- Software Development Methodologies - 1-3+ years
- Education:
- BA/BS in Information Technology, Computer Science, related field or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Java and Oracle development and support.
- Familiarity with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
- Familiarity with cloud technologies (e.g., AWS, Azure)
- Familiarity with databases Oracle, Mongo DB, MySQL
- Familiarity with Rancher, ArgoCD, gitlab
- Strong SQL query skills and general database knowledge
- Experience with bot migration and related automation tools
- Knowledge of or experience in legacy deployment environments
- Background in the telecommunications industry is a plus
- Technical skills:
- Demonstrated knowledge of one major programming language/tool
- Demonstrated knowledge of coding language and syntax, usage of functions and object-oriented patterns
- Knowledge of environments, docker images, container runtimes, and cloud native app development
- Knowledge of dependent systems, e.g., up/downstream APIs, clients, data stores, CI/CD Pipelines
- Knowledge of design patterns and frameworks
- Skills:
- Showcases Project / Feature level work to their team and technical leadership
- Basic negotiation skills
