Build end-to-end full-stack features using Node.js/TypeScript and React, maintain cloud/serverless infrastructure and CI/CD, own E2E test coverage, create real-time event pipelines and integrations to feed Quinn's knowledge graph, and support APIs/MCP servers for AI agent orchestration.
This is a remote position.
Software Engineer II (Full Stack), Quinn
We are seeking a highly capable Software Engineer II to act as a core execution partner to our Quinn Head of Engineering. This role is structured with a defined, rapid growth trajectory toward a Senior Software Engineer title. While the Quinn Head of Engineering drives the high-level technical strategy, security, and AI data governance, you will focus heavily on building the underlying data infrastructure and supporting our AI agents. You will have the autonomy to own independent feature development, share the operational load, and build the real-time event pipelines that make our intelligent workflows possible.
What You'll Do
- Drive Full-Stack Feature Delivery: Take ownership of end-to-end product features based on provided specifications. You will build the necessary backend endpoints, wire them up to the React frontend, and ensure a seamless, reliable user experience.
- Shared Infrastructure & Quality Ownership: Partner with the Quinn Head of Engineering to keep the lights on (KTLO) for our cloud infrastructure. You will share responsibility for maintaining our deployment pipelines and take the lead on establishing and owning our End-to-End (E2E) test coverage.
- Cross-Team Data Integration: Act as a collaborative bridge to the Quipli team. You will work with the Quipli platform team to build out extraction patterns (e.g., webhooks, API polling) against the transactional database to seamlessly feed Quinn's knowledge graph.
- Build the AI Bridge: Collaborate on writing scalable, maintainable APIs, developing Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers, and supporting robust third-party integrations that allow our AI agents to seamlessly read from and write back to the system of record and other external tools.
Requirements
What We're Looking For (Must-Haves)
- Full-Stack Proficiency & Quality Deliverables: Strong experience building production applications using Node.js and TypeScript, paired with modern frontend framework experience (React). You are committed to quality and have proven proficiency using testing frameworks (such as Vitest and Playwright) to ensure reliable, scalable deliverables.
- DevOps & CI/CD Familiarity: You understand how your code gets to production. You have familiarity with standard DevOps practices and CI/CD tools (e.g., GitHub Actions, basic infrastructure management). You should also have hands-on experience working with modern cloud platforms and serverless architectures.
- Growth Mindset for AI: You don't need to be an AI researcher on Day 1, but you must have a strong, demonstrable desire to learn. We expect you to actively leverage AI coding tools (like Copilot, Cursor, or Antigravity) to accelerate your daily workflow. While prior experience with AI/LLM SDKs (e.g., OpenAI SDK, Google Gen AI SDK, LangChain) is a strong bonus, the core requirement is the technical agility to rapidly learn and apply them as you tackle increasingly complex AI orchestration tasks.
- Collaborative Execution: You thrive in an environment where you can partner on architectural strategies and translate them into scalable, well-tested code with a high degree of autonomy.
Nice to Have
Experience within the Google Cloud Platform (GCP) ecosystem.
Familiarity with observability and monitoring platforms (e.g., Datadog).
Experience building data pipelines for Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) and knowledge graph applications.
Strong experience working with AI/LLM-oriented SDKs (e.g., OpenAI SDK, Google Gen AI SDK, LangChain).
Practical experience designing or navigating event-driven architectures and real-time data streaming.
