About the Opportunity

We are seeking a mid-to-senior level Measurement, Marketing Science, or Experimentation Practitioner to serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for an upcoming curriculum development project. In this freelance role, you will lead the rigorous quality, accuracy, and fidelity review of a four-course Coursera specialization titled Marketing Performance Measurement & Optimization.

The course content is adapted from existing Meta webinars covering metric selection, observational vs. experimental methodologies, A/B testing, Conversion Lift, and Search Lift. This is an active editing and validation role where you will review, refine, correct, and augment AI-drafted course content generated by Coursera's tools to ensure absolute platform currency, statistical soundness, and learner engagement.

  • Location: Remote (Global / US Preferred)
  • Contract Type: Freelance / Independent Contractor
  • Project Duration: Estimated execution across the development cycle
  • Project Capacity: Not to exceed 80 hours allocated across the full 4-course specialization program
  • System Requirements: SweetRush is a remote organization; all resources must be technically savvy, have a strong internet connection, be comfortable with virtual collaboration tools (Google Drive, Slack, Airtable), and be available for scheduled live alignment syncs.
Salary/Hourly Range (US Only)

$60.00 per hour

Your Impact and Responsibilities

As the primary technical authority for this specialization, you will ensure the curriculum accurately represents how marketers connect business goals to measurable outcomes, design valid experiments, interpret incrementality, and apply insights to campaign optimization. Your day-to-day responsibilities will be structured around three continuous review checkpoints per course:

  • Checkpoint 1: Program Outline Review
    • Review source webinars and supporting documents to evaluate generated outlines for logical flow, structural completeness, and sequencing.
    • Attend live alignment calls with the Coursera and Learning Design teams to validate content at the structural level.
  • Checkpoint 2: Full Course Atlas (Script) Review
    • Conduct a deep-dive review of a Proof-of-Concept (POC) course to establish the standard for tone, depth, accuracy, and structure.
    • Review remaining course atlases (.doc format via Google Drive) to ensure they mirror the POC standards and flag course-specific errors.
  • Checkpoint 3: On-Platform Final Review
    • Access the live Coursera staging environment to end-to-end test all interactive components, dialogues, and logic triggers.
    • Validate final uploads against source webinars for absolute factual accuracy, brand alignment, and completeness.
  • Continuous Quality Assurance & Content Creation
    • Source-Fidelity Checking: Scrutinize all elements to ensure absolutely zero hallucinated or drifted Meta product claims.
    • Experimentation Workflows: Verify that setup steps for Meta Experiments (A/B testing, split tests) and lift studies reflect the current live UI.
    • Copywriting: Draft and refine XDP copy for product accuracy; review Donobu QA reports as required.
    • Screencasting: Record high-quality technical screencasts following provided audio/room setup guidelines if needed to complement written text.
What You Bring - Required SkillsExperience & Background
  • Measurement & Analytics Specialist: Current, hands-on experience designing, running, interpreting, or advising on marketing measurement studies and testing programs.
  • Seniority: Mid-to-senior level practitioner (5+ years of dedicated experience in marketing measurement, analytics, performance marketing, experimentation, or marketing science).
  • Industry Context: Background working in agencies, in-house analytics, e-commerce, CPG, retail, brand marketing, or platform-partner environments where proving incrementality is critical.
  • Meta Platform Mastery: Direct, current experience with Meta Ads Manager, Experiments tools, A/B Testing, Conversion Lift, Brand Lift, and Search Lift concepts.
Required Tool & Account Access
  • Live Active Access to: Meta Ads Manager, Meta Experiments / A/B Testing tools, Meta reporting dashboards, and Business Manager.
  • Instructional Awareness: Ability to evaluate if content is properly scoped for an entry-to-mid career marketing manager or analyst audience (ensuring actionable practitioner guidance rather than highly academic statistical jargon).
Core Capabilities to Validate
  • The fundamental distinction between observational and experimental methodologies (causal inference).
  • Hypothesis development, target variable selection, and experiment setup workflows.
  • Interpretation of test outputs (incrementality, attribution validation, lift signals) to guide budget allocation and optimization decisions.
Bonus Skills
  • Holding an active Meta Certified Marketing Science Professional or Meta Certified Media Buying Professional credential.
  • Hands-on or live environment familiarity with Conversion Lift, Brand Lift, and Search Lift study setups.
  • Familiarity with broader analytics ecosystem platforms such as GA4, business intelligence dashboards, or data visualization tools.
  • Prior experience working within the Meta Blueprint or Meta partner ecosystem.
  • Familiarity working with Google Drive (.doc) editing workflows and Airtable/Donobu QA feedback tracking.
