As a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) at Litera, you will be responsible for the stability, scalability, and resiliency of our SaaS products. This involves driving operational improvements and efficiencies across multiple cloud platforms and their foundational infrastructure. You will automate processes, build new tools, refine monitoring and alerting, and respond to incidents as they arise. This role is hands-on and collaborative, with a strong emphasis on teamwork.

Key Responsibilities:
• Act as a subject matter expert on our SaaS-hosted applications and their architecture
• Solve complex, cross-functional technical challenges
• Handle escalations and support customer-facing systems
• Participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation
• Lead root cause analysis for major incidents and outages
• Automate repetitive tasks to reduce operational overhead
• Build and maintain dashboards for system availability and performance
• Identify and implement ways to improve reliability and efficiency
• Ensure systems meet security and compliance standards
• Coordinate cross-team efforts to resolve critical production issues
• Manage disaster recovery processes and events
• Create and maintain operational runbooks and playbooks
• Mentor team members and contribute to a culture of technical excellence
• Be a reliable, collaborative presence on the team

Qualifications:
• Experience as a Site Reliability Engineer or similar role
• Strong grasp of software engineering principles and agile practices
• Understanding of how distributed systems scale, fail, and recover
• Ability to recommend architectural improvements and rally others to implement them
• Solid problem-solving skills and methodical approaches to debugging issues
• Clear communicator, able to break down complex issues for different audiences
• Quick learner of new technologies and comfortable navigating ambiguity
• Able to thrive in fast-paced environments and know when urgency matters
• Ability to remain calm and focused under pressure
• Familiarity with ITIL and problem management processes
• Experience using configuration management tools like Terraform, Puppet, or Ansible
• Deep experience with monitoring and alerting tools (e.g., New Relic, Datadog, Dynatrace)
• Experience debugging web applications and managing defects
• Experience working with cloud platforms
• Confidence navigating and troubleshooting Windows/Linux, databases, and web servers (IIS, Apache)
• Strong SQL skills, including query writing and performance tuning
• Experience designing and troubleshooting large-scale distributed systems

Nice to Have
• Experience working on SaaS product teams
• Familiarity with regulated environments such as SOX, HIPAA, or PCI
• Certifications in AWS, Azure, or other relevant cloud platforms
• Hands-on software development experience
• Background in application security and compliance
