About Discovered Labs

Discovered Labs is an SEO/AEO agency built by a Stanford rocket scientist turned AI researcher and demand gen marketer with experience scaling B2B SaaS companies to 8-figures in ARR.

We are trusted by hyper-growth companies like Instantly, Granola, incident and other $10M+ ARR B2B SaaS companies who want to get more leads and customers from both Google and AI assistants like ChatGPT.

We do this through a mixture of content marketing, technical optimisations and off-site brand amplification (PR, backlinks, Reddit marketing).

High-level overview of our approach:

  • AI automation and workflows: We build marketing programs as we would a product. Rather than waste several hours per week on repetitive tasks, our in-house team of ML engineers create workflows with custom technology that let us focus on the high-impact stuff.

  • Senior expertise: To ensure everything is done to a high standard and differentiated, everything we do is managed and elevated by a team of experts. We don't let automation get in the way of quality.

  • Full-stack: SEO and AEO rarely work as isolated tasks. We work across the entire funnel and multiple surface areas to ensure we own the outcome and clients win.

Note: If you want to stand out, please include a Loom video showing a tool, system or deliverable you've produced and are proud of. We'd love to see it!

This role

We're looking for an AI-pilled Client Growth Strategist to run their own book of B2B SaaS client accounts end to end: the client relationship, the strategy and the commercial result.

This is a career-making seat. You set the direction and own the numbers, an SEO Analyst & Data Scientist executes the deep analysis under you, and you work alongside a team of quants with sophisticated in-house systems you'll build into and on top of. Your time goes to strategy and clients, not production.

You don't need a deep SEO background. The bar is data fluency plus marketing sense: you run your own analysis, hold your own on stats, and think like a marketer. We teach the SEO.

This role is fully remote, ideally your timezone is within +/- 4 hours of GMT.

This role is not for you if…
  • You're afraid of the work. High tempo and high agency are the seat: if you wait for perfect instructions or route work away, this won't fit.

  • You can't live with data. You don't need to be an engineer, but you must run your own analysis and reason about numbers under pressure. Spreadsheets, SQL, Python and AI tooling all count.

  • You've never owned a marketing outcome: a funnel, a budget or a number with your name on it.

  • You're uncomfortable being client-facing: leading calls, presenting monthly results, handling hard conversations.

  • You lead reviews with rankings and task lists. We lead with the business story: pipeline, revenue and what we do next.

What you'll do
  • Own a portfolio of B2B SaaS accounts as the directly responsible individual: objectives, commercial sequencing, and sign-off on each account's 90-day plan.

  • Run the client communication: weekly updates, bi-weekly check-ins, and the monthly report and review, led with the ROI story. You build the report; your analyst supplies the data behind it.

  • Direct the pod: convert strategy into the next 30 days of work, keep your analyst's queue full and unblocked, and QA everything client-facing.

  • Challenge the work from the data: kill or reshape anything that doesn't ladder to the client's number. Sign-off means interrogation, not a rubber stamp.

  • Protect and grow the accounts: catch at-risk clients early and run the save; open the expansion conversation when the numbers are good.

  • Improve the system as you go: templates, reporting and cadences get better because you touched them.

The ideal person for this role
  • You live with your clients. In the comms daily, fast to respond, and you always know where every account stands and where it needs to go next.

  • You hold the room. Presentable, trusted on calls, and able to walk a VP through the numbers and land the story.

  • You live with data. You run your own analysis, hold your own on stats, and present findings cleanly. Tools are flexible: spreadsheets, SQL, Python, Claude and agents all count.

  • You think like a marketer. Funnels, channels and buyers, not just one channel's tactics.

  • High tempo, high agency. Things move because you never wait to be asked, and you willingly get into the weeds when the account needs it.

  • You raise the bar. You send back work that isn't client-grade and upgrade the process so it doesn't recur.

Requirements
  • Data fluency plus either a marketing or an SEO background (we teach the SEO specifics): you run your own analysis and hold your own on stats, in whatever stack.

  • Experience owning external client relationships or marketing outcomes with real numbers attached.

  • Experience running multiple accounts, clients or projects simultaneously.

  • Near-native English, spoken and written.

  • Timezone within +/- 4 hours of GMT.

  • AI-native operating: you use AI tools daily as a force multiplier and still own the final, validated output.

Nice-to-haves (not required)
  • A CRO, experimentation, performance marketing or SEO background

  • Familiarity with B2B SaaS

  • Code (SQL, Python, scripts): a plus, not the gate

Culture fit

You should ideally believe:

  • Search has fundamentally changed. Google and backlinks still matter but are no longer the full picture - AI search is a new frontier and you're excited about that shift.

  • AI is a force multiplier, not a crutch. You're actively using (or willing to use) AI tools daily: prompt engineering, context files, projects. You build workflows, not just type into ChatGPT.

  • Speed and quality are both achievable. Everyone on our team operates at a fast pace, is reliable and takes extreme ownership of their work. There are no passengers at Discovered Labs.

You'll thrive here if: You get energy from doing excellent work that makes clients successful. You see gaps in processes and fix them without being asked. You proactively communicate and move fast.

You won't thrive here if: You need heavy management. You wait for perfect instructions before acting. You think SEO is still just about keywords and links.

What's in it for youBenefits
  • $45,000 - $70,000 annual salary depending on relevant skills and experience

  • Fully remote position

  • We're small but growing, which means opportunities (financial, experience, job roles), including real scope growth as your book of accounts and the team scale

  • Paid leave

  • Autonomy to perform your role

  • Access to the best in-house SEO/AEO tools that have been built by top engineers

Work in a new type of agency

We're not a typical SEO agency. You'll get a front-row seat in a company that's truly tech-forward. Here's what makes us different:

  • AI-native from day one. One of our co-founders is ex-Stanford AI. We don't bolt AI onto old processes, we build around it. We're building a tech-first agency.

  • We build our own tools. We're constantly designing systems that scale quality without shipping AI slop. Engineering and ops thinking is part of the culture.

  • Going against the norm. Most SEO agencies move slow, get bogged down in audits and wait for perfection. We move unreasonably fast, prioritise commercial impact and have objective data to show our operating model works.

  • Everyone has a scorecard. We're relentlessly data-driven. Every person tracks leading metrics so we catch problems early and stay aligned.

  • Small team, big ownership. No layers of middle management. You'll have direct access to founders and real influence on how we operate.

  • We share what we learn. We publish our methodologies (like the CITABLE framework) because we believe transparency builds trust and a rising tide lifts all boats.

We look forward to seeing your application.
