CPI Security, a leader in security, smart home, and business automation solutions, is looking for a Senior UX Designer, Digital Experience to join our growing team.  This full-time role is in office and based in our Charlotte, NC headquarters. This is more than just a job; it’s an opportunity to build a purpose-driven career creating digital experiences that help customers protect what matters most. In this role, you will design intuitive, accessible, and visually polished experiences across CPI Security’s web, mobile, ecommerce, customer portal, and self-service platforms. You’ll partner closely with Product, Ecommerce, Digital Marketing, Brand Marketing, CRM, Analytics, and Engineering teams to turn customer needs and business goals into effective digital solutions. The ideal candidate has strong experience in UX design, ecommerce user experience, UI design, responsive web design, mobile design, conversion rate optimization, and design systems. You’ll help improve the customer journey from product discovery and package selection through checkout, onboarding, account management, and post-purchase support.

What You’ll Do
  • Design user-friendly digital experiences across web, mobile, ecommerce, customer portals, and other digital touchpoints.
  • Create user flows, journey maps, wireframes, prototypes, design specs, and high-fidelity UI designs.
  • Improve ecommerce experiences including product detail pages, package selection, configurators, lead forms, cart, checkout, promotions, account management, and post-purchase support.
  • Partner with Ecommerce, Product, Marketing, Analytics, and Engineering teams to identify user pain points and improve digital performance.
  • Support conversion rate optimization through UX recommendations, A/B testing concepts, usability insights, and data-informed design decisions.
  • Design polished, brand-aligned interfaces with strong attention to typography, layout, hierarchy, color, spacing, accessibility, and responsive behavior.
  • Contribute to CPI’s design system, including reusable components, UI patterns, Figma libraries, documentation, accessibility guidelines, and design standards.
  • Conduct or support UX research, usability testing, competitive reviews, heuristic evaluations, stakeholder interviews, and analytics reviews.
  • Collaborate with Engineering to ensure designs are feasible, clearly documented, and implemented with quality.
  • Advocate for user-centered design, accessibility, usability, and digital experience best practices.
What We’re Looking For
  • 4+ years of experience in UX design, product design, digital design, ecommerce UX, or a related digital experience role.
  • Strong portfolio showing end-to-end UX/UI design work across responsive web, mobile, ecommerce, or customer self-service experiences.
  • Experience designing ecommerce or conversion-focused experiences such as product pages, package selection flows, lead forms, cart, checkout, promotions, and account experiences.
  • Strong UI design skills, including typography, layout, visual hierarchy, color, interaction states, responsive design, and accessibility.
  • Hands-on proficiency with Figma, including components, variants, auto layout, prototyping, libraries, and design system workflows.
  • Experience creating wireframes, prototypes, user flows, journey maps, mockups, design specs, and high-fidelity interface designs.
  • Ability to use user insights, analytics, heatmaps, funnel data, and A/B testing results to guide design decisions.
  • Knowledge of accessibility best practices and WCAG guidelines.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to connect design decisions to user needs and business outcomes.
Preferred Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in UX Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Graphic Design, Interaction Design, Digital Design, or a related field.
  • Experience with subscription-based, service-based, home services, smart home, security, telecom, or direct-to-consumer ecommerce businesses.
  • Experience with ecommerce platforms such as Shopify, Salesforce Commerce Cloud, Adobe Commerce/Magento, BigCommerce, or similar.
  • Experience with tools such as Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, Hotjar, FullStory, Optimizely, VWO, Storybook, design tokens, WordPress, Divi, HTML, or CSS.
  • Experience designing mobile app experiences for iOS and Android.
