Job Role
The Senior SDET is responsible for manual testing, automation testing and performance testing. This includes creating Test Automation Framework (TAF) suitable for project needs and creating automation test scripts for both API and UI levels of automation. Also, prepare JMeter scripts for the load testing and execute performance tests. This role comes with a lot of excitement and responsibility to train and mentor other test engineers.
Roles & Responsibilities

  • Build the end-to-end suite using Selenium/Playwright. Set up the project, page objects and fixtures, and record the critical journeys: login and SSO, tenant onboarding, application registration, running a scan, reviewing issues, configuring rules and profiles, dashboards and reports, notifications, and platform-tenant administration.
  • Keep it green. Own the suite as the product changes. Triage failures quickly, fix flaky tests, and make failures actionable for the developers.
  • Test the GraphQL API directly. Write API-level tests for queries, mutations and auth directives.
  • Add unit tests. Write Jest tests for API services using the existing scenario-fixture pattern, and introduce React Testing Library tests for front-end components, starting where the risk is highest.
  • Test tenant isolation. Design and automate checks that one tenant can never see or affect another's data, through the UI and the API, including background jobs.
  • Wire tests into CI. Run the suites in Bitbucket Pipelines against a Docker Compose stack, report results clearly, and gate releases on them.
  • Verify releases. Run pre-release regression and post-deploy validation on the cloud environment, including database migration checks.
  • Load and performance checks. Build a small set of k6 or JMeter scenarios for the pages and queries that slow down on large tenants, and track them across releases.
  • Write things down. Test plans, coverage maps, and clear bug reports with reproduction steps, logs and data. On a team this size, written communication replaces meetings.
  • Perform the Production deployment validations based on the schedules or requests from customers or as per the release plans.
  • Post release feedback, reporting, and issue analysis to improve and enhance the assigned product.
  • Responsibility to adhere to set internal controls.
Experience and Desired Skills:
  • 6 to 7 years in software testing with at least 4 in test automation you built yourself, not just maintained.
  • Strong browser automation with Selenium/Playwright. Able to structure a suite (page objects, fixtures, data setup and teardown) that survives a year of UI changes.
  • Comfortable writing tests in TypeScript or JavaScript.
  • Experience testing GraphQL or REST APIs directly, including authentication, authorization and error cases.
  • Hands-on with Jest or a comparable unit-test runner, and with React Testing Library or willingness to learn it quickly.
  • SQL against PostgreSQL to set up test data, verify results and spot bad data.
  • Docker and Docker Compose to run the full stack locally and in CI.
  • Has wired test suites into a CI pipeline (Bitbucket Pipelines, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI or Jenkins) and made them reliable.
  • Version Control tools knowledge.
  • Hands-on experience with unit-testing frameworks like JUnit and TestNG.
  • Hands-on experience with Maven and (or) Gradle build tools.
  • Hands-on experience with Postman.
  • Experience with JMeter and ability to prepare scripts for Performance testing.
  • Knowledge of Agile/Scrum SDLC using JIRA
  • Knowledge and experience of API testing of REST.
  • Familiarity with Static Code Analysis tools like Sonar Qube or equvalent.
  • Excellent eye for detail, fast on your feet, and a problem solver
  • Ability to multitask and take the lead on several events simultaneously
  • Willingness and passion to continuously improve test processes (Root Cause Analysis, Correction and Preventions)
  • Experience in writing project/process documentation.
  • Ability to provide POC for suggested new technologies or tools.
  • Familiarity with Automation reporting tools like Allure or ReportPortal.
Nice To Have:
  • Multi-tenant SaaS testing experience.
  • Load testing with k6 or JMeter.
  • MuleSoft Anypoint platform, Azure integration Services, or other integration platforms.
  • Static analysis tools such as SonarQube, and security testing basics (OWASP).
  • Testing SSO and OAuth flows (Google, Anypoint).
  • Testing LLM-backed features and MCP servers.
  • Reporting tools such as Allure or the Playwright HTML reporter.
