We are looking for a hands-on Senior Technical Product Manager to partner with business and technology teams to build and deliver scalable technology solutions for managing various Medicare/Medicaid plans and benefits across various platforms. You will own a product, platform, or major capability within our Insurance Products and Benefits portfolio, define the product vision, strategy, and the roadmap while driving execution from concept through value creation & delivery. The ideal candidate combines strong product management practices with technical acumen, enabling them to translate business needs into technology solutions, and drive cross-functional teams toward delivering measurable business outcomes.
Works with relevant Humana stakeholders to create, prioritize, and manage product iteration backlogs. Ensures final products meet technology and Humana standards and deliver maximum value to end-users, influence department's strategy. make decisions on moderately complex to complex issues. Exercises considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignments. Work is performed with minimal direction.
Responsibilities:
Product Strategy & Ownership
- Develop, own, and maintain the vision, strategy, roadmap, and delivery of a product, platform, or major capability based on customer, business, and technology needs.
- Define product goals, success metrics, and key outcomes aligned with business objectives.
- Drive product decisions using data, user feedback, and business value assessments.
Business Discovery and Requirements Management
- Work closely with business stakeholders to understand operational challenges, customer needs, and strategic priorities.
- Analyze business processes and identify opportunities for efficiency, automation, and capability enhancement.
- Partner with product owners to translate business problems into clear product requirements and define acceptance criteria, functional requirements, dependencies, and success metrics.
Technical Product Management
- Collaborate closely with engineering teams to define solution approaches and delivery strategies aligned with the road map.
- Understand system architecture, integrations, data flows, and technical constraints.
- Help stakeholders make informed prioritization and trade-off decisions balancing customer value, technical feasibility, cost, and delivery timelines.
- Ensure product requirements are clearly communicated and understood by delivery teams.
Agile Delivery & Execution
- Help product owners manage the product backlog and prioritize work based on business value.
- Partner with ARTs/Scrum teams to plan releases, sprints, and feature delivery.
- Monitor progress, remove blockers, and achieve milestones.
- Drive continuous improvement through iterative product enhancements and feedback cycles.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partners with various engineering, architecture, testing, operations, and business teams throughout the product lifecycle.
- Align stakeholders around product priorities, delivery plans, and business outcomes.
- Foster collaboration across teams and ensure successful implementation and adoption.
Stakeholder Communication
- Communicate product strategy, roadmap progress, risks, dependencies, and business value to stakeholders at all levels.
- Present recommendations and product updates to leadership teams.
- Build trust and credibility through transparent communication and outcome-driven decision-making.
Product Performance & Continuous Improvement
- Define and track KPIs, adoption metrics, operational effectiveness, and customer satisfaction measures.
- Analyze performance data and user feedback to identify enhancement opportunities.
- Drive product evolution through ongoing optimization and feature expansion.
Use your skills to make an impact
Required
- Bachelor's degree in any STEM field of study or Business Administration or Management
- 5+ years of proven Technical Product Management experience in the current/ recent role in a large enterprise.
- Strong understanding of Agile framework, and product development methodologies.
- Experience managing product roadmaps and prioritizing backlogs.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Strong stakeholder management abilities. Ability to work effectively with both business and technical teams is the key.
- Proficient in using AI tools for daily work
Preferred
- Master's degree in business or management or in a relevant field.
- Professional certification in Product Management
- Experience working within large enterprise IT delivery environments.
- Experience delivering enterprise software, platform, or digital products.
- Health Insurance / Healthcare industry experience
Hybrid Home/Office Requirements

Humana will provide Home or Hybrid Home/Office associates with telephone equipment appropriate to meet the business requirements for their position/job.

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting.
