Job Responsibilities:
Magna is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Systems Test Engineer to join our New Mobility team in Lowell, Massachusetts. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in systems testing, robotics, and automation. As a Senior Systems Test Engineer, you will be responsible for implementing and executing test plans to ensure the reliability and performance of our Autonomous Mobile Robot (AMR) Complementary Product systems. You will interface with both HW and SW teams here and own R&D testing on AMR accessories before passing off to the Production Test team.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Work with Systems Engineering to execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts for AMR systems.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including software developers, hardware engineers, and product managers to understand system requirements and design effective test strategies.

  • Perform functional, integration, regression, and performance testing on AMR Complementary Product systems.

  • Identify, document, and track defects and issues using bug tracking tools.

  • Analyze test results and provide detailed reports to stakeholders.

  • Continuously improve testing processes and methodologies to enhance product quality.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, robotics, or a related field, or equivalent experience

  • 7+ years of experience in systems testing, preferably in robotics or automation.

  • Strong understanding of software and hardware testing methodologies.

  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C++, or Java.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
