We approach every challenge with ambition and commitment, holding ourselves and each other accountable to achieve the best results. When you join Appian, you’ll be part of a passionate team dedicated to accomplishing hard things, together.

Appian is seeking a Senior Solutions Marketing Lead, to own the messaging and marketing strategy for Supply Chain. This is a critical role in positioning Appian to win in a highly competitive market worldwide. You will advocate for the buyer(s) internally and own the positioning of our products externally.

You will be responsible for defining value-based messaging; enabling sales and marketing on our differentiated positioning; delivering thought leadership that resonates with our buyers; creating and executing holistic marketing plans (in collaboration with other marketing owners); and reporting on program effectiveness against pipeline and revenue goals.

In this role, you will:

  • Define and execute a holistic marketing plan to differentiate Appian in Supply Chain and capture mindshare of our target buyers

  • Own and maintain the personas and foundational messaging frameworks that serve as the "source code" for all internal and external content

  • Maintain a deep understanding of Appian’s product capabilities and differentiators; our competitive landscape; and the pain points, trends, and buying triggers for Supply Chain.

  • Apply rigor, discipline, and an analytical mindset to measure program effectiveness against pipeline and revenue goals.

  • Deliver unified solution narratives that align with horizontal messaging themes while demonstrating the domain fluency needed to win in Supply Chain

  • Act as the subject matter expert and storyteller, delivering thought leadership, proof points, customer stories, speaking engagements, and playbooks that establish Appian as a winning solution for Supply Chain

  • Equip Appian GTM functions and global teams to ensure everyone is telling a consistent and impactful story across all activities and channels.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field. MBA is a plus.

  • 7+ years of product, industry, or solution marketing experience in B2B SaaS environments. Prior Supply Chain experience is strongly preferred.

  • Excellent writing skills, including the ability to express technical concepts in the form of crisp, value-based messages.

  • An analytical mindset and the ability to use data to inform program planning, execution, and optimization.

  • A proven track record of developing strategies and tactics to drive brand awareness and demand generation within specific target segments or verticals.

  • An ability to operate as a strong cross-departmental leader to set vision and direction, drive toward action, measure results, and hold key stakeholders accountable.

  • Demonstrated ability to work across functions, be a team player, and thrive in a highly collaborative and matrixed environment.

  • A portfolio of programs you’ve built and executed, including messaging frameworks, sales playbooks, and launch plans.

  • Experience with related technologies—including artificial intelligence (AI), automation, business process management (BPM), case management, Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS), and data fabric—a plus.

The base salary for this role is between $100,000–$200,000 per year and represents a good faith and reasonable estimate of the range at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be dependent on a number of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s relevant work experience, qualifications, internal peer equity, and market and business conditions that exist when extending an offer. A discretionary bonus may be awarded in recognition of individual and company performance.

In addition, Appian provides generous benefits offerings that include a 401(k) plan with company match, flexible time off, paid parental leave, medical, dental, and vision plans, life insurance, disability insurance, wellness programs, flexible spending accounts, health savings account contributions, an employee referral bonus program, and learning and development resources. Certain positions may be eligible for equity awards.

Pay and benefits are subject to change at any time, consistent with the terms of any applicable compensation, commission, bonus, or benefit plans.
