About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Software Engineer in technology as part of Commercial and Corporate & Investment Banking Technology. This candidate will design and deliver scalable, cloud-native backend solutions. This role requires a hands-on engineer who can lead technical initiatives, build distributed systems, and contribute to modern event-driven architectures.

In this role, you will:
  • Lead moderately complex initiatives and deliverables within technical domain environments
  • Contribute to large scale planning of strategies
  • Design, code, test, debug, and document for projects and programs associated with technology domain, including upgrades and deployments
  • Review moderately complex technical challenges that require an in-depth evaluation of technologies and procedures
  • Resolve moderately complex issues and lead a team to meet existing client needs or potential new clients needs while leveraging solid understanding of the function, policies, procedures, or compliance requirements
  • Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and mid-level managers to resolve technical challenges and achieve goals
  • Lead projects and act as an escalation point, provide guidance and direction to less experienced staff
Required Qualifications:
  • 4+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  • 4+ years of experience with Java and Spring Boot in production environments
  • 3+ years of experience working in microservices architecture and distributed systems
  • 3+ years of experience with SQL/RDBMS and distributed application architecture
  • 3+ years of experience building and consuming RESTful APIs
  • 2+ years of experience with cloud-native development and containerization
Desired Qualifications:
  • Hands-on experience with C#/.NET Core/.NET 8+
  • Experience with Kafka or other messaging/event streaming
  • Experience with OpenShift (OCP) or Kubernetes deployments
  • Experience with MongoDB or NoSQL databases
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
  • Experience designing event-driven and high-availability systems
  • Exposure to UI technologies (Angular/React) is a plus but not required
