Who We Are

Imprint is reimagining co-branded credit cards & financial products to be smarter, more rewarding, and truly brand-first. We partner with companies like Crate & Barrel, Rakuten, Booking.com, H-E-B, Fetch, and Brooks Brothers to launch modern credit programs that deepen loyalty, unlock savings, and drive growth. Our platform combines advanced payments infrastructure, intelligent underwriting, and seamless UX to help brands offer powerful financial products—without becoming a bank.

Co-branded cards account for over $300 billion in U.S. annual spend—but most are still powered by legacy banks. Imprint is the modern alternative: flexible, tech-forward, and built for today’s consumer. Backed by Kleiner Perkins, Thrive Capital, and Khosla Ventures, we’re building a world-class team to redefine how people pay—and how brands grow. If you want to work fast, solve hard problems, and make a real impact, we’d love to meet you.

As Senior Software Engineer, Front End, you will build and scale the user-facing experiences that power Imprint's lending products. This role sits at the intersection of financial infrastructure, product innovation, and customer experience.

You will design and implement front-end systems that guide customers through credit applications, account management, and servicing workflows. Your work will directly impact conversion rates, customer satisfaction, and product adoption as we scale our lending platform.

This role requires strong technical execution, design sensibility, and a bias toward shipping incremental value in a regulated environment.

  • Build familiarity with Imprint's front-end architecture, component systems, and design patterns

  • Contribute to system reliability through testing, performance monitoring, or incident response

  • Collaborate effectively with product, design, and backend teams to translate requirements into polished user experiences

  • Deliver clear, maintainable code that other engineers can build on

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain front-end features and components while implementing customer-facing flows for our Account Servicing functions. These functions directly impact end users experience.

  • Build responsive, accessible, and performant web experiences that work across devices and browsers

  • Collaborate with designers to translate mockups and prototypes into production-ready code

  • Partner with backend engineers to integrate APIs and ensure seamless data flows

  • Write tests, contribute to code reviews, and maintain code quality as the platform scales

  • Participate in on-call rotations and respond to production incidents

  • Contribute to front-end architecture, component libraries, and engineering standards

Qualifications

Required

  • 5–7 years of software engineering experience building front-end applications

  • Proficiency in modern JavaScript/TypeScript and at least one front-end framework (e.g., React, Vue, or Angular)

  • Strong understanding of HTML, CSS, and responsive design principles

  • Experience with state management, component architecture, and front-end testing

  • Familiarity with API integration, asynchronous data handling, and error management

  • Demonstrated ability to ship production code, debug issues, and respond to operational incidents

  • Strong communication skills and comfort collaborating across product, design, and engineering teams

  • Ability to work in ambiguous environments and make pragmatic engineering tradeoffs

Nice to Have

  • Experience building or working on fintech or financial services experience focused on end-user experiences

  • Familiarity with accessibility standards (WCAG) and inclusive design practices

  • Experience with performance optimization, bundle analysis, or front-end observability tooling

  • Contributions to design systems, component libraries, or front-end infrastructure

  • Track record of improving conversion, usability, or customer experience through thoughtful front-end work

Perks & Benefits
  • Competitive compensation and equity packages

  • Leading configured work computers of your choice

  • Flexible paid time off

  • Fully covered, high-quality healthcare, including fully covered dependent coverage

  • Additional health coverage includes access to One Medical and the option to enroll in an FSA

  • 20 weeks of paid parental leave for the primary caregiver and 8 weeks for all new parents

  • Access to industry-leading technology across all of our business units, stemming from our philosophy that we should invest in resources for our team that foster innovation, optimization, and productivity
