Position Summary:As a Senior Java Software Engineer with CVS Health Platform Innovation, you will participate on an eXtreme Programming (XP) Product Team of 6-10 people and work with the team to build high-quality, usable products to customers and stakeholders in our FS&I Org, working directly with the RE&O team. You will help educate both business and technology personnel on the agile and XP development process and create products from discovery and framing through iterative development and delivery. You will also maintain a user-centered and business-as-priority approach in design perspective and practice.
A firm understanding of Java development principles and agile methodologies is crucial for success in the role.
Responsibilities:
• Work in a paired programming collaborative environment, contributing to agile ceremonies
• Design efficient and user-friendly software products to advance and support business needs
• Develop frontend and backend code utilizing test-driven development
Required Qualifications:
• 5+ years of experience working with enterprise solution delivery in a large-scale distributed software design environment, preferably in a J2EE development environment with strong leadership experience
• 2+ years of Java development experience while utilizing one or more these technologies: Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Go, NodeJS, Angular 8+, React, or similar
• 1+ year of experience working in an Agile-based development environment using Agile concepts such as Continuous Integration (CI/CD) and Test-Driven Development (TDD)
Preferred Qualifications:
• Cloud development experience
• PaaS, SaaS development experience
• Frontend and/or full stack development experience utilizing a framework such as Angular or React
Education:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field preferred
• Will accept High School diploma and equivalent experience in lieu of degree (2 years of professional work experience for every year of college not completed in addition to the required years of experience)

The typical pay range for this role is:
$101,970.00 - $203,940.00This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
