This position is designated as Work-from-home / Occasional Travel.
About the Role:
Senior Salesforce Developer role is the dev team lead for the ARES production program. This role requires exceptional Salesforce platform depth, strong Apex engineering skills, and the ability to make architecture-level decisions independently while coordinating with the Solution Architect on cross-team impacts. This is a full-time, high-tempo role for a top-tier Salesforce engineer.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Ensure adherence to architectural standards across a development team (e.g. platform-native-first principle, Flow vs. Apex decision framework, sharing model governance, PMD compliance standards)
- Own BRE (Business Rules Engine) configuration: decision table design covering all qualification type combinations, currency states, resource types, and waiver logic
- Design and implement multi-stakeholder private sharing model (e.g. sharing rules, role hierarchy, PSG-based access, and Apex-managed sharing)
- Review all junior developer output; enforce platform-native-first principle and PMD compliance before every sprint promotion
Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years of Salesforce development with strong technical leadership experience
- Experience with federal security and compliance requirements.
- Hands-on experience configuring Salesforce BRE (or equivalent); ability to model complex multi-variable logic
- Demonstrated experience with Apex: bulkification, SOQL optimization, async patterns (Queueable, Batch, Future)
- Demonstrated expertise in Salesforce sharing model (e.g. OWD, sharing rules, role hierarchy, Apex-managed sharing, and ABAC/RBAC)
- Salesforce Certified Platform Developer II
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience as a software technical lead or architect on a major federal program
- Experience on Salesforce Government Cloud Plus Defense (OpsEA platform specifically)
- Salesforce Certified Technical Architect
- Salesforce Application Architect credential
Education Requirements:
- Required: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related STEM field.
- Preferred: Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
Citizenship & Clearance Requirements:
- Required: Eligibility to obtain Public Trust
- Preferred: Active U.S. Government security clearance (Secret or TS/SCI)
Target Salary Range
Compensation for roles at Synergy is determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to, the requirements of the role; level of experience; education and certifications; the individual’s combination of knowledge, skills, and abilities; as well as alignment with market data, federal and state laws, and other business and contract considerations. The estimated pay range for this position is: $163,000.00 – $196,000.00. The disclosed range has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case and represent just one component of Synergy’s total compensation package for employees.
