This role will help pilot agentic and LLM-assisted workflows, modernize development and deployment processes, and use automation to solve real engineering challenges.
While Salesforce and the billing platform are part of the systems this role will support, the main focus is on bringing AI-driven capabilities into the design, development, and operation of our systems. Key initiatives include internal platform migration, AI agent adoption, and CI/CD modernization.
This is a hands-on engineering role that requires close collaboration with product, business, and architecture teams.
Responsibilities

- Contribute to CI/CD modernization efforts, including AI-assisted code reviews and test automation.
- Support and improve billing and Quote-to-Cash workflows as part of the broader platform, working closely with product and finance teams as needed.
- Work closely with product managers, architects, QA, and other Business Systems Engineers during sprint execution, technical design, and code reviews.
- Ensure solution quality through unit testing and automated test coverage. Partner with Production Support on root cause analysis when issues arise.
- Identify technical debt and performance issues, and drive continuous improvement with a focus on automation and AI.
- Share knowledge through documentation and peer collaboration, while providing informal guidance to junior Business Systems Engineers.
- Support a culture of ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of hands-on Salesforce development experience.
- Strong proficiency with Apex, Flow, LWC, and Salesforce declarative automation.
- Authentic enthusiasm for AI-driven development, including hands-on experimentation with tools such as Copilot, Agentforce, Einstein, or LLM-assisted coding workflows, and a proven track record of using these tools.
- Working familiarity with Quote-to-Cash processes and subscription-based revenue models (Billing experience preferred but not required).
- Experience with modern billing or monetization platforms is a plus—such as Orb, Metronome, Chargebee, or similar usage-based billing systems.
- 1+ year of Python experience is a plus.
- Salesforce certifications are preferred (Platform Developer I & II).
- Strong problem-solving skills and keen attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team.
