Job Description:

Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) is building the next generation of networking through the integration of HPE Aruba Networking and Juniper Networks. As part of this transformation, we are seeking a Senior Director, SMB & Commercial Sales to lead and scale our U.S. sales strategy across the Small and Mid‑Sized Business (SMB) and Commercial segments.

This is a critical leadership role responsible for accelerating growth, strengthening partner leverage, and driving consistent execution across a complex and evolving networking portfolio.

You will lead a multi‑layer sales organization, shape go‑to‑market strategy, and ensure operational excellence—while developing a high‑performing leadership bench to support long‑term growth.

Key Responsibilities:

Revenue Growth & Business Performance

  • Own and deliver SMB and Commercial segment revenue targets across the U.S.
  • Drive expansion across campus, branch, wireless, switching, and cloud‑managed networking solutions
  • Build sustainable pipeline and improve forecast accuracy and predictability

Go‑to‑Market Execution

  • Design and scale a repeatable SMB & Commercial sales model balancing direct, inside, and partner‑led motions
  • Align sales strategy with evolving HPE Networking portfolio, including AI‑driven and cloud networking solutions
  • Drive productivity across regions through consistent operating cadence and performance discipline

Partner & Channel Leadership

  • Strengthen partner ecosystem engagement to increase velocity, coverage, and deal execution
  • Optimize partner‑led vs. direct sales motions to maximize market reach and efficiency
  • Collaborate with channel leadership to improve partner capability and revenue contribution

Leadership & Talent Development

  • Lead and develop a team of second‑line leaders (managers of managers)
  • Build a high‑performance culture grounded in accountability, inclusion, and continuous development
  • Make objective talent decisions aligned to business needs and future growth

Cross‑Functional Collaboration

  • Partner closely with Sales Engineering, Marketing, Finance, HR and Product organizations
  • Represent SMB & Commercial priorities in North America leadership forums
  • Ensure alignment between field execution and broader HPE Networking strategy

Qualifications:

Required Experience

  • 10+ years of experience in enterprise technology sales, with significant leadership experience
  • Proven success leading multi‑layer sales organizations (manager‑of‑managers)
  • Experience driving growth in SMB and/or Commercial segments
  • Strong understanding of networking technologies and solutions (e.g., switching, wireless, cloud networking)

Preferred Experience

  • Experience in partner‑centric or channel‑driven sales models
  • Background in networking or adjacent infrastructure markets (cloud, security, data center)
  • Experience navigating organizational transformation or portfolio integration

Leadership Capabilities

  • Strategic Thinking: Ability to translate market dynamics into actionable GTM strategies
  • Execution Discipline: Drives consistent operating cadence, forecasting rigor, and accountability
  • Talent Leadership: Builds and develops strong leadership teams and succession pipelines
  • Influence & Collaboration: Works effectively across functions and without direct authority
  • Change Leadership: Leads through transformation with clarity and resilience

What Success Looks Like

  • Consistent delivery against revenue and growth targets
  • Improved sales productivity and forecast accuracy
  • Strong partner contribution and engagement
  • A high‑performing, scalable leadership team
  • Clear alignment between strategy and field execution
