Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Risk Analytics Consultant to join the Consumer Data Management team within the Credit Risk Intelligence & Transformation (CRIT) group - a unit within Corporate Credit Risk.

Credit Risk Intelligence & Transformation is responsible for aggregating credit risk exposure across the company to aid in many use cases including – Regulatory Reporting, Management Reporting, and analytics. 

Credit Risk establishes and maintains Wells Fargo's risk management program and provides oversight, including challenges to and independent assessment of, the frontline's execution of its risk management responsibilities. We manage risk according to the Risk Management Framework and ensure all employees understand their individual accountability for managing risk.

Corporate Risk roles depend on a variety of skills, including: Data analysis and synthesis, root cause analysis, change management, process management & execution, risk governance, risk strategy, risk identification & assessment, risk prevention, controls & mitigation, risk monitoring, reporting & escalation, risk systems & technology.

The mission of Credit Risk Information and Technology (CRIT) is to provide and maintain an enterprise-wide integrated view of credit data to support our independent risk management function. We proactively review and question data outputs, and provide credible challenge about affiliated processes, procedures, and controls. In addition, we provide vital subject matter expertise about Wells Fargo credit data—including objective analysis of risk attributes, trends, and reporting—for management, regulators, and the Board.

This position will be responsible for external reporting requirements and ensuring fully documented work products and processes. Your leadership skills are essential to managing deadlines, compliance with regulatory requirements, and continued enhancement of credit risk reporting.  Strong partnership skills are needed to foster and facilitate relationships with colleagues across multiple locations to provide an integrated and comprehensive picture of the bank’s credit risk.

In this role, you will:

  • Support on-going credit risk reporting responsibilities, including data profiling and defect remediation.

  • Utilize technical skills to analyze and report on consumer or commercial credit risk initiatives.

  • Perform reconciliations of data to GL and other sources and address any outliers.

  • Enhance data monitoring and documentation to ensure data quality and proactively identify and mitigate potential risk.

  • Improve data and reporting efficiency and increase team productivity.

  • Support change management framework and execution.

  • Ensure compliance with all G&O policies and procedures.

Required Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of Risk Analytics experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education.

  • 4+ years of SQL/SAS programming experience.

Desired Qualifications:           

  • Knowledge and experience in producing Regulatory Reports such as SEC, OCC, FR-Y14M/Q.

  • Knowledge and experience with Alteryx.

  • General GL knowledge and familiarity with reconciliation work of data files to general ledger.

  • Experience with data governance frameworks, including documentation of procedures, process controls, and data/information sources and flow.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail and with sound business judgment; ability to interpret analytical problems and create efficient data driven solutions.

  • Result orientated to deliver, self-motivated to learn and to influence. Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, achieve goals, and work under pressure in a dynamic and complex environment.

  • Ability to research, trend, and analyze data. Ability to lead project and coach junior team members.

  • Ability to develop effective partnership in a team environment across all organizational levels, where flexibility, collaboration, and adaptability are important.

  • Intermediate Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Access) skills.

Pay Range
 

Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, experience, or work location. The range listed is just one component of the compensation package offered to candidates.

$84,000.00 - $149,400.00
