Job Summary

As a Senior Developer on the app development team, this professional plays a critical role in designing, developing, and maintaining both web and mobile applications within an agile organization. Leveraging full-stack expertise, they build robust, scalable, and user-friendly solutions that improve the mortgage experience for both customers and internal stakeholders. The role involves participation in all phases of the software development lifecycle—from initial concept and architecture through to implementation, testing, and deployment. Working closely with product managers, designers, and fellow engineers, the Senior Developer ensures the delivery of high-quality software that meets business goals, delivers outstanding user experiences, and complies with the highest standards of application security. This position requires a self-driven individual with strong problem-solving abilities, effective communication skills, and a passion for creating innovative applications in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities
  • Designs, develops, and maintains web and mobile applications using React Native, .NET Core, and other relevant technologies.

  • Contributes to the full software development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, design, coding, testing, and deployment within an agile framework.

  • Writes clean, efficient, and well-documented code with a strong focus on user experience and adherence to security best practices.

  • Collaborates with product managers and designers to translate user needs into technical solutions, ensuring a seamless and secure user journey.

  • Participates in code reviews to maintain code quality, enforce best practices, and implement necessary security protocols.

  • Troubleshoots and resolves complex technical issues across the application stack, emphasizing the identification and mitigation of security vulnerabilities.

  • Implements and maintains CI/CD pipelines using GitLab or Azure DevOps.

  • Deploys and manages applications on cloud platforms such as AWS, potentially leveraging serverless technologies, while following security guidelines.

  • Works independently to manage tasks and drive projects to completion, aligning efforts with agile sprint goals.

  • Proactively identifies opportunities to enhance systems and processes, focusing on improved user experiences and strengthened application security.

  • Mentors and provides technical guidance to junior developers, fostering a culture of security awareness and user-centric development.

  • Stays up to date with emerging trends and technologies in web and mobile development, including innovations in user experience and application security.

Qualifications and Job Requirements
  • Demonstrates proven experience as a Full Stack Developer, with strong capabilities in both front-end and back-end development.

  • Possesses solid hands-on experience developing cross-platform mobile applications using React Native (iOS and Android).

  • Shows deep understanding and practical application of .NET Core and C#, with a strong command of backend architecture and API integration.

  • Proficient in front-end technologies including JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, and CSS, with knowledge of virtual DOM, component lifecycle, and state management.

  • Experienced with testing and code quality tools such as Jest, Enzyme, and ESLint.

  • Familiar with Node.js for server-side development.

  • Skilled in using version control and DevOps tools such as GitLab and Azure DevOps.

  • Brings strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a clear focus on user experience optimization and proactive security measures.

  • Communicates effectively, both in writing and verbally, within cross-functional teams.

  • Experienced in working with AWS and related cloud services, including serverless architectures, while adhering to industry-standard security practices.

  • Capable of working independently, managing tasks effectively, and contributing within agile development environments.
