What you will do:
- Lead contract assessment activities, ensuring alignment with internal accounting directives (AD09) and revenue recognition requirements ( IFRS15).
- Analyze complex customer contracts and provide accounting guidance prior to execution, identifying risks and ensuring proper financial treatment.
- Act as the financial focal point for Order-to-Cash (O2C) processes within projects, ensuring compliance, accuracy, and transparency.
- Partner closely with Project Managers, Sales, and Operations to challenge assumptions and support sound decision-making.
- Ensure accurate revenue and cost recognition, aligned with project milestones and accounting standards.
- Drive data integrity in SAP (S/4HANA) including the proper structuring of projects in the system and ensure consistency between operational and financial data.
- Identify and mitigate financial risks, including compliance, revenue leakage, and contract misinterpretation.
- Support and respond to internal and external audits, ensuring proper documentation and justification of accounting treatments.
- Contribute to process improvements and digitalization initiatives, leveraging automation and new technologies to enhance efficiency.
- Build strong relationships with stakeholders across different countries, acting as a bridge between finance and business.
- Provide financial insight, challenge assumptions, and support decision making.
The skills you bring:
- Solid experience in project finance, project controlling, or contract accounting, preferably in telecom or large-scale project environments.
- Strong knowledge of revenue recognition (IFRS15) and contract evaluation.
- Hands-on experience with SAP (preferably S/4HANA) in project or finance environments.
- Ability to analyze customer contracts and understand their accounting implications, with exposure to revenue recognition principles (IFRS15)
- Experience working with Order-to-Cash (O2C) processes.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to challenge, influence, and build trust with senior stakeholders, supported by assertive communication.
- Ability to operate in ambiguous and fast-paced environments, taking ownership and driving outcomes.
- Strong analytical mindset combined with business acumen.
- Experience with compliance frameworks such as SOX and internal controls (ABC) is a plus.
- Advanced English skills.
