About us

At Udemy, we’re on a mission to transform lives through learning. Through our intelligent skills platform and a global community of instructors, we’ve helped over 70 million learners and 16,000 organizations achieve their goals. Come join us in ensuring everyone, everywhere has access to the skills they need to unlock their potential and create possibilities for themselves and others.

Hybrid work

Udemy is headquartered in San Francisco with global offices in Australia, India, Ireland, Türkiye, and other US locations. Our robust hybrid work model spans San Francisco, Denver, Ankara, Dublin, and Melbourne. This hybrid position requires two days per week in our Austin office.

About you

We’re seeking a passionate and experienced Senior Product Manager to join our Growth team. In this role, you’ll lead initiatives that drive acquisition, discovery, and conversion across our marketplace and consumer subscription offerings. You’ll partner closely with Design, Engineering, Data Science, and Marketing to build scalable systems and engaging user experiences that accelerate user acquisition and grow revenue.

You’ll use your product expertise to identify high-impact opportunities, develop hypotheses, and run experiments that lead to measurable business outcomes. Success in this role requires a deep understanding of user behavior, a strong analytical mindset, and a passion for solving complex, growth-oriented challenges.

What you'll be doing

  • Own the strategy, roadmap, and targets for driving user acquisition and conversion across our marketplace and consumer subscriptions.
  • Deeply understand user behavior at the point of entry - what brings them in, what keeps them exploring, and what leads them to purchase.
  • Identify and remove friction points in the conversion funnel, leveraging data to drive decisions and optimize experiences.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams, including Marketing, Engineering, Design, and Data Science, to build user experiences, launch experiments, and iterate on improvements.
  • Develop a deep understanding of our customers’ needs, competitive landscape, and purchasing behaviors.
  • Define and track success metrics, balancing short-term wins with long-term growth investments.
  • Champion a culture of experimentation, shipping fast, learning quickly, and optimizing constantly.

What you’ll have

While this work is based more on the skills a person has than what they have done, we think a typical profile could include the following:

  • 5+ years of product management experience, with at least 2+ years in a consumer growth-focused role.
  • A proven track record of scaling conversion funnels and enhancing user experiences to drive measurable business impact.
  • Experience with consumer subscriptions and/or e-commerce marketplaces.
  • Experience leading a/b testing at scale and interpreting results with a strong analytic mindset.

Ability to translate insights into product ideas and turn ideas into impactful outcomes.

  • Exceptional collaboration skills; you're as comfortable aligning with marketers as you are debating trade-offs with engineers.
  • A hypothesis-driven mindset and the ability to think both strategically and scrappily.

At Udemy, we strive to be transparent around compensation. Actual compensation for this role is based on several factors, including but not limited to job-related skills, qualifications, experience, and specific work location due to differences in the cost of labor. In addition to a base salary, this role is also eligible for benefits and equity.

Hiring Compensation Range

$150,000$187,000 USD

We understand that not everyone will match each of the above qualifications. However, we also realize that everyone has unique experiences that can add value to our company. Even if you think your background might not perfectly align, we'd love to hear from you!

Life at Udemy

We aspire to be as vibrant and dynamic as the communities we serve, as inquisitive as those who use our platform, and as revolutionary as the future we strive to open for everyone. Here are some of the things we love about life at Udemy:

From creating employee resource groups, ensuring we’re a Fair Pay Workplace, and building a flexible work culture, our belonging, equity, diversity, and inclusion (BEDI) initiatives always put our people first. We want you to be able to bring your authentic self to work because when we all do, we’re better for it.

  • Learning is what we do – inside and out. Our Learning & Development team is second to none, helping ensure your journey is one of continuous progression. You’ll also have unlimited access to Udemy courses, monthly UDays (meeting-free professional development days), and a generous annual professional development stipend.

  • Our reason to exist is to revolutionize learning – that calls for taking risks and learning from failures. Whether it’s our hackathons (a company-wide effort to envision new possibilities for our product) or sharing our prototypes, we see experimentation as a crucial step on the path to success.

  • We’re committed to creating world-class employee experiences and are proud of the recognition of this by Great Place to Work.

Of course, the best thing about being part of Udemy is knowing your work makes a difference for people and organizations around the world. You’ve got the skills; why not use them to help others develop theirs?
