We’re looking for a Senior Designer to contribute to the evolution and maintenance of our Design System, ensuring consistent, accessible, and scalable user experiences across platforms. This role is ideal for a systems-minded designer with strong craft and a passion for component-based design.

As a key contributor to the Design Systems team, you’ll work closely with Design, Product, and Engineering partners to improve component quality, enhance workflows, and expand the system's utility across web, mobile web, and native applications. You’ll play a critical role in delivering consistent experiences to millions of users by designing and documenting reusable patterns, refining visual and interaction standards, and supporting adoption across teams.

What you’ll do:

Design System Craft & Documentation
  • Design and maintain reusable UI components and patterns that align with brand, usability, and accessibility standards.
  • Contribute to Figma libraries, tokens, and documentation to support scalable, cross-platform usage.
  • Identify gaps or inconsistencies in the system and propose practical, scalable solutions.
  • Collaborate with the team on system governance and contribution models to ensure quality and consistency.
Collaboration & Enablement
  • Partner with designers, engineers, and product managers to ensure system components meet real-world product needs.
  • Support product teams in applying design system solutions effectively and guide them in system best practices.
  • Collaborate with engineering on implementation specs, interaction behavior, and alignment with front-end standards.
Accessibility & Inclusion
  • Design components and patterns that meet or exceed WCAG standards.
  • Support inclusive design principles in component design and documentation.
  • Participate in accessibility reviews and testing in partnership with accessibility leads.
Continuous Improvement
  • Incorporate feedback from designers and developers to enhance the system’s utility and usability.
  • Stay current with design system trends, tooling advancements, and platform guidelines to help evolve our system intelligently.

How We Work

We balance creativity and innovation on a foundation of in-person collaboration. For most roles, our employees work three or more days in our office in Austin, TX, where they have the opportunity to collaborate in-person, adding richness to our culture and knitting us closer together.

What You’ll Bring:

  • 8+ years of experience in UI/UX design, with 2+ years contributing to a design system in a product-driven environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating component-based design work and contributions to scalable systems.
  • Deep proficiency in Figma, with experience building and maintaining component libraries.
  • Solid understanding of front-end technologies (HTML/CSS/JavaScript), and how design integrates into engineering workflows.
  • Knowledge of accessibility guidelines (WCAG, ARIA) and inclusive design practices.
  • Collaborative working style with strong communication skills – you’re comfortable giving and receiving feedback and explaining design decisions.
  • Detail-oriented mindset with a passion for quality, consistency, and scalability.
