We believe that innovation isn’t just about technology—it’s about the people, culture, and purpose that make it happen. Every Switch team member contributes to a mission greater than themselves: to create the world’s most advanced digital infrastructure that powers the progress of humanity.

The Role: Senior People Systems Analyst, Oracle HCM

As a Senior People Systems Analyst at Switch, you will serve as a functional owner and subject matter expert for Oracle Cloud HCM. You will work directly with HR and business users to understand their needs, define requirements, and turn business problems into clear system and process solutions. You will guide stakeholders through changes from initial intake through requirements, testing, and rollout. This role focuses on functional ownership and business process improvement rather than hands-on system configuration.

What You’ll Do
  • Serve as a functional subject matter expert for Oracle Cloud HCM and the HR processes it supports.
  • Meet with business users to understand problems, goals, process gaps, and system needs.
  • Translate business requirements into clear business requirements documents, functional requirements, and technical requirements for the technical team.
  • Evaluate requests, clarify what users are trying to accomplish, and recommend practical process or system solutions.
  • Map current and future-state processes to define how work should move through Oracle HCM and related systems.
  • Guide business users through process and system changes from initial intake through requirements, testing, rollout, and adoption.
  • Bring multiple stakeholders together, work through competing needs, and build agreement on a solution.
  • Partner with technical teams to make sure requirements are understood and delivered as intended.
  • Lead functional testing and user acceptance testing, including test scenarios, issue tracking, and business sign-off.
  • Identify process gaps and recommend improvements that make HR processes clearer, more consistent, and easier to use.
  • Maintain functional requirements, process documentation, decisions, and other records needed to support ongoing system work.
  • Support work involving systems connected to Oracle HCM by defining business needs and helping teams understand process and data dependencies.
What We’re Looking For
  • You can take an unclear business request, ask the right questions, and turn it into a defined problem and set of requirements.
  • You bridge the gap between business requirements and system capabilities, translating business needs into practical solutions and identifying when process changes, configuration, or alternative approaches are needed.
  • You explain system and process concepts clearly to both business and technical audiences.
  • You can walk stakeholders through a process step by step and identify where decisions, handoffs, or system changes are needed.
  • You use sound judgment to separate the requested solution from the underlying business need.
  • You work effectively with multiple stakeholders and help groups reach clear, workable decisions.
  • You communicate decisions, risks, open questions, and next steps directly without leaving out important details.
  • You follow work through to completion and raise issues early when requirements, decisions, or timelines are at risk.
What You’ll Bring

Required:

  • 4–7+ years of relevant experience in HRIS, people systems, or HR technology.
  • Strong functional experience with Oracle Cloud HCM and the HR processes it supports.
  • Experience gathering business requirements and translating them into documented functional and technical requirements.
  • Experience leading requirements discussions and process-mapping sessions with business users.
  • Experience taking system or process changes from intake through requirements, testing, and rollout.
  • Ability to evaluate business needs and recommend solutions without relying on hands-on system configuration.
  • Experience working with technical teams responsible for system configuration, development, or integrations.

Preferred:

  • Experience working with systems that connect to Oracle HCM, such as recruiting, learning, payroll, benefits, or other HR platforms.
  • Experience creating business requirements documents, process flows, test plans, or user acceptance testing materials.
  • Experience supporting HR processes across multiple parts of the employee lifecycle.

If your experience closely matches the work described here, we encourage you to apply even if you do not meet every preferred qualification.
