Overview:

As a client-facing Senior Marketing Manager, you will autonomously and collaboratively lead client relationships aimed at increasing customer engagement through lifecycle marketing. You will be a strategic advisor for campaign planning and execution for industry-specific lifecycle, loyalty, transactional and marketing campaigns in platforms like Braze, Amplitude and others. You will build roadmaps and playbooks for customer loyalty and customer engagement initiatives, including audience segmentation best practices, campaign automation maturity and advanced personalization to increase customer retention and LTV. You will build Canvases and campaigns that leverage advanced CRM capabilities, while upholding premium client services and delivery standards.. You will analyze data for insights, trends and recommendations to give clients a cutting-edge over their competition. 

Role Objectives:

  1. Build client relationships and deliver value through marketing engagements based on business outcomes, data-driven insights and best-in-class industry standards.
  2. Be a proactive contributor to VGV’s marketing practice - growing our market competitiveness as the largest, most advanced and premium agency delivering Braze-focused services.
  3. Become an expert in cross-functional digital experiences for your client - bringing together small, mighty teams to provide meaningful transformations and kickass customer experiences. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Campaign Planning and Execution: Develop project plans, campaign roadmaps and window blueprints to guide agile campaign execution. Build and QA Canvases for email, push, in-app messages, SMS, content cards, What’sApp and other owned-channel messages. Analyze integrated marketing campaigns by audience segment and optimize them to drive greater performance against client business goals.
  • Client Management: Drive ongoing client success and satisfaction through outstanding communication, transparent scoping of each week of work, flexible partnership, and insights-focused, outcome-driven reporting, recommendations and business reviews. Establish a reputation for excellence through technical and strategic acumen. Collaborate with clients to align their business goals, their technology investment decisions and their engagement strategies across digital.
  • Technology Consulting: Lead complex technical integrations and recommendations for CRM, collaborating with CDP and analytics experts where necessary. Prioritize messages for CRM migrations, plan new templates and HTML creation. Act as subject matter expert for multiple channel best-practices, loyalty programs, offer strategies, testing methodologies and the introduction of new technologies when and if it adds tangible value to the client’s customers.
  • Marketing Consulting: Act as subject matter expert for advanced, data-driven marketing practices, lifecycle marketing, audience segmentation, personalization and customer loyalty. Provide knowledge on various marketing tools, and trade-offs between cost and benefit. Act as a change-management professional when needed, training teams on how to use their new technology. Demonstrate success driving outcomes through tactics that provide short and long-term value toward retention, RFM principles and customer lifetime value. Derive go-to-market planning for major digital releases, and app store optimization. Utilize creative and design thinking processes to plan creative, technologically advanced campaigns.
  • Team Leadership: Both through formal and informal mentorship and management, guide teams to produce their best work, maximize their professional growth and act as a coach to help teams function as more than the sum of their parts. Create psychological safety and implement best practices to provide ongoing feedback and to optimize team processes to ensure work is fun, rewarding and high-quality, with enough challenge and autonomy for everyone to grow.

Qualifications:

  • Certified in Braze, Amplitude or similar platforms (CRM, CEP, analytics experience)
  • Experience planning and executing lifecycle management campaigns with demonstrated customer success
  • Experience with audience segmentation measurement, strategy and personalization
  • Demonstrated excellence leading clients and teams to be high-performing, data-driven and outcomes-focused
  • Willing to travel up to 20% for clients and VGV teams, as needed

Preferred qualifications/Nice to haves:

  • Experience in agency working on multiple types of digital growth marketing
  • Experience building growth strategies and custom software experiences
  • Experience with loyalty programs and platforms
  • Nice to Have: Advanced Liquid, Connected Content, HTML and system integration experience (ie, empowering deferred deeplinking; leading a CRM implementation; working in CRM + CDP + Analytics tools)
  • Project management, SCRUM experience

Total Rewards:

VGV wants all employees to be supported in their personal and professional development, so we take a comprehensive approach to compensation and benefits. The initial annual base salary for this position is expected to range from $110k - $160k. We benchmark every role based on location and against comparable companies to ensure competitiveness; however, actual compensation is highly dependent on numerous factors such as location, experience, knowledge and skills, qualifications and other job-related factors.
