Braze is seeking an experienced Senior Marketing Manager, Global Events for our Global Events team. 

This is a fun and exciting position, as you get to work on multiple program types across multiple regions. You will play a critical role, working alongside your peers in event tech, creative, sponsorship, content, and demand generation to create memorable and meaningful Braze events for our audience. Your highest priority will be full production ownership of our City x City events, plus launching our first-ever Executive Program. You will also provide production support for other Braze-owned events, including our flagship, Forge; own external keynote speaker management; and contribute to the development of our global event portfolio strategy and measurement program.

As our ideal candidate, you will have owned corporate events within high-growth B2B tech companies, and understand the differences in customer, prospect, and employee experiences. You take a data-driven approach to event execution, appreciate creativity and brand building, and understand how to execute effectively within budget and time constraints. And you are genuinely kind, compassionate, fun to be around, supportive in stressful circumstances, and you problem-solve with urgency. 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Event Strategy

  • In conjunction with Braze company goals, develop and implement event marketing strategies to best support our intended audience leveraging data and industry trends
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure events complement overall marketing, product, and business strategies

Event Operations and Execution

  • Plan, organize, and execute on a variety of events, including company and sales kickoffs, our global series, and the customer flagship event, Forge 
  • Drive logistics, creative, venue selection, F&B, AV requirements, and other event details to ensure seamless execution
  • Project manage the event alongside our agency partners to ensure the experience is on brand and meets all defined objectives 
  • Provide unique and creative approaches to event activations and experiences
  • Research external event speakers that are aligned to our narrative and mission, and partner with external bureaus in negotiating and optimizing each speaker contract
  • Experience launching a high-touch executive program

Promotion and Outreach

  • Work alongside demand gen and lifecycle marketing to promote events and drive attendance through multiple channels, including social media, IPM, email, and digital channels, like webinars
  • Collaborate with the global campaigns team to integrate event promotions into overall marketing campaigns

Attendee Journey Development 

  • Develop strategies to enhance attendee and sponsor engagement and experiences and the overall attendee journey 
  • Incorporate interactive elements, networking opportunities, and other features to create a positive and memorable event atmosphere that drive business results

Performance Measurement

  • Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of events
  • Analyze data and feedback to make informed decisions and continuously improve future events

Budget Management

  • Manage event budgets efficiently, ensuring cost-effective planning and execution
  • Negotiate contracts through agencies or with vendors and suppliers to maximize budgetary resources

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Collaborate with internal teams to align event objectives with broader company goals
  • Foster strong relationships with external partners, sponsors, and vendors

Basic Qualifications

  • 8+ years of relevant work experience in event marketing and event production
  • Experience managing budgets greater than $1M
  • Demonstrated competence in presenting recommendations and gaining alignment with cross-functional teams and leadership
  • Familiarity with contracting and accounting processes, including negotiating contracts and cost savings
  • Excellent time management, resource management, and planning skills
  • Solid budget management skills 
  • Strong analytical approach to problem-solving
  • Roll up your sleeves and get the job done mentality
  • Excellent organizational skills

For candidates based in the United States, the pay range for this position at the start of employment is expected to be between $113,100 - $133,000/year with an expected On Target Earnings (OTE) between $133,000 - $156,500/year (including bonus or commission). Your exact offer may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. In addition to cash compensation, Braze offers full- and part- time employees a comprehensive Total Rewards package that includes equity grants of restricted stock (RSUs) so that all Braze employees own a piece of our company.
