The Opportunity: Senior Manager, People Operations

We’re looking for a Senior Manager, People Operations to help scale and strengthen Wrapbook’s People infrastructure. In this role, you’ll operate with a high degree of ownership, leading policy development, compliance, and operational excellence across the employee lifecycle. You’ll be a trusted partner to Legal, Payroll, Finance, and IT while building systems and processes that enable our people to thrive. While this is a hands-on role, you will also manage and mentor a mighty People Operations team of one, ensuring alignment, growth, and high performance.

What you’ll do:

  • Oversee data integrity, access management, and workflow optimization within our HRIS and operational processes.

  • Identify opportunities for automation and improved efficiency in onboarding, offboarding, and employee lifecycle changes.

  • Design, draft, and implement scalable people policies (e.g., leaves of absence, accommodations, etc.).

  • Partner with Legal and Canadian counsel to ensure policies are compliant and in alignment with our risk tolerance.

  • Partner cross-functionally with Payroll, Legal, Finance, and IT to ensure seamless execution of people processes and compliance initiatives (e.g., audits, etc).

  • Represent the People Team in company-wide projects and operational initiatives, driving consistency and alignment across stakeholders.

  • Oversee day-to-day People Operations activities, ensuring timely and accurate execution of onboarding, offboarding, and documentation management.

  • Drive change management efforts to introduce new processes and systems, ensuring employee impact and adoption are prioritized.

What you'll have:

  • 7+ years of progressive experience in People/HR Operations, with at least 2+ years of people management experience.

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; HRCI/SHRM certification a plus.

  • Strong expertise in policy development, compliance, and employee lifecycle operations.

  • Deep knowledge of leave regulations across the U.S. (federal, state, local) and Canadian jurisdictions.

  • Proficiency in HR systems (HRIS, payroll, compliance platforms) with hands-on experience driving system improvements and implementations.

  • Proven success in cross-functional collaboration with Payroll, Legal, Finance, and IT.

  • Experience balancing compliance with employee experience to build scalable, people-friendly processes.

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to translate complex requirements into clear, actionable documentation and guidance.
