This individual leads a high-performing team and ensures the learning ecosystem drives measurable adoption, capability growth, and workforce transformation across a global IT organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Define and execute a multi-year IT learning strategy aligned to workforce priorities, business outcomes, and emerging technology trends.

  • Serve as the primary learning leader for IT, influencing senior leadership and shaping investment decisions through compelling, data-driven narratives.

  • Lead end-to-end design of scalable learning experiences, including onboarding and continuous learning journeys that drive measurable skill progression.

  • Ensure learning solutions reflect modern engineering practices, including AI-enabled development, cloud-based workflows, and software/product delivery lifecycles.

  • Partner with engineering, product, and architecture leaders to align learning priorities with evolving technical capability needs.

  • Establish clear success metrics (e.g., adoption, proficiency, behavior change) and continuously optimize learning effectiveness through data and feedback loops.

  • Build and maintain strong cross-functional partnerships across divisions, ensuring alignment and engagement with senior stakeholders and sponsors.

  • Lead and develop a team of learning leaders, instructional designers, and technical trainers, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.

  • Drive integration of external partners and tools into the learning ecosystem while maintaining internal standards and strategic consistency.

  • Stay ahead of external trends in AI, learning technology, and workforce development, translating insights into differentiated learning strategies.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of training and experience; advanced degree preferred.

  • 8+ years of progressive experience, including leadership in technical learning, software delivery, or related fields.

  • Demonstrated experience navigating the software or product development lifecycle (SDLC/PDLC) and applying that understanding to capability building.

  • Proven ability to design and deliver technical learning solutions or enablement programs that drive real-world application and behavior change.

  • Strong technical fluency, including experience with modern development practices, AI tooling (e.g., Claude, GitHub Copilot or similar), and hands-on learning or experimentation.

  • Experience influencing senior leaders and communicating complex strategies to executive stakeholders.

  • People leadership experience with the ability to build, coach, and scale high-performing teams.

  • Experience building internal learning solutions (not just vendor-based) strongly preferred.
