Core Responsibilities
1. Data Product Strategy & Vision- Define and execute the PW data product strategy, aligned with business priorities and digital transformation goals
- Establish a North Star vision for data as a product, including standards for usability, quality, discoverability, and interoperability
- Identify and prioritize high-impact data products across domains (Client, Account, Product, CX, Risk, Finance, etc.)
- Drive adoption of data product thinking, shifting from project-based delivery to product lifecycle management
- Oversee the end-to-end lifecycle of data products—from ideation and design to delivery, scaling, and retirement
- Define clear product roadmaps, success metrics (KPIs/OKRs), and value realization frameworks
- Ensure products meet consumer needs (analytics, reporting, AI/ML, operational use cases) with a strong focus on user experience
- Implement continuous improvement loops leveraging usage analytics and stakeholder feedback
- Design and operationalize a federated, domain-oriented data product model (aligned with data mesh principles where applicable)
- Partner with Data Governance to embed data ownership, stewardship, quality, and controls into product delivery
- Define product accountability structures, including roles, funding models, and decision rights
- Ensure compliance with regulatory, risk, and data privacy requirements
- Lead and develop a high-performing team of data product managers, product owners, and analysts
- Partner closely with Engineering, Architecture, Data Management, AI/ML, and Business Leaders
- Serve as a key advisor to executive leadership on data investments, priorities, and business value realization
- Drive alignment across domains to enable reusable and interoperable data assets
- Enable development of AI-ready data products to accelerate advanced analytics, machine learning, and generative AI use cases
- Champion modern data platforms and ecosystems (e.g., cloud data platforms, lakehouse architectures, metadata-driven systems)
- Promote data discoverability, lineage, and trust through cataloging and metadata solutions
- Define and track business value metrics tied to revenue growth, cost efficiency, risk reduction, and client experience
- Establish a data product performance framework, including adoption, quality, reliability, and reuse metrics
- Communicate outcomes through executive dashboards and storytelling
- 12–15+ years of experience in data, analytics, or product management, with 5+ years in executive leadership roles
- Proven track record of launching and scaling enterprise data products or platforms
- Deep understanding of data management, governance, and architecture principles
- Experience leading cross-functional teams in complex, matrixed organizations
- Strong executive presence with ability to influence at C-suite and board levels
