Who we are:

Flashfood is a marketplace app that connects grocery retailers with shoppers. Grocers post items nearing their best-before dates, like fresh produce, meat, and bakery goods, at discounted prices, helping them recover costs and attract new shoppers. Shoppers get great deals on quality groceries, making it easier to eat well affordably. By keeping good food out of landfills and on dinner tables, Flashfood helps both retailers and consumers save money while reducing food waste.

How it works:

  1. Download the Flashfood app and create an account
  2. Browse grocery deals at nearby stores
  3. Add items to your cart and purchase within the app
  4. Pick up your items from the Flashfood Zone at your local partner store

Role overview: We’re seeking a Senior Manager, Creative to elevate the way Flashfood shows up in the world. This is a hybrid role—part player, part coach. You’ll be hands-on in designing assets across brand, performance, and product marketing, while also leading the development of a coherent, expressive creative vision. You’ll help unify how our brand comes to life across channels, guide internal and external creative teams, and drive concept development for integrated campaigns, social content, app store assets, and more. This role is perfect for someone who thrives on both doing and directing—who can craft a brand experience and inspire others to build on it.

You will own the brand design system at Flashfood and collaborate closely with our Product Designer to ensure that brand expression is thoughtfully extended into the product experience. Whether it's an in-app moment, a new feature launch, or campaign tie-in, you’ll help ensure our visual identity is cohesive across every surface.

Key Responsibilities

Creative Leadership & Direction

  • Own and evolve the Flashfood visual identity and brand system across all touchpoints.
  • Act as the brand’s visual and creative steward—ensuring cohesion, clarity, and boldness in everything we put into the world.
  • Lead creative concepting and execution across integrated marketing campaigns (paid, owned, earned).
  • Partner with our Product Designer to align on how brand elements show up in product experiences (in-app banners, modals, landing flows, etc.).
  • Guide creative direction for internal contributors and external agencies/vendors.

Execution & Design

  • Design and produce high-impact visual assets: campaign creative, social posts, email designs, partner toolkits, in-app graphics, and landing pages.
  • Build and maintain the marketing design system and asset libraries, ensuring consistency and scalability.
  • Collaborate with the Product Designer on brand expression within the app, tying in seasonal campaigns, launch creative, and design experiments.
  • Own and optimize app store presence (Google Play, Apple App Store) with compelling, conversion-optimized visuals.

Collaboration & Strategy

  • Work closely with the marketing, growth, product, and partner teams to bring campaigns and creative ideas to life.
  • Partner with external copywriters, content creators, and designers to ensure holistic, integrated creative work.
  • Bring fresh creative ideas to brainstorms, proactively pitching concepts for social, partner activations, and seasonal campaigns.

About You

Must-Haves

  • 7+ years of experience in design and creative development, including time at a high-growth app, tech, marketplace, or consumer brand.
  • A strong portfolio that demonstrates brand storytelling, campaign thinking, and clean, modern design across channels.
  • Proven ability to concept and execute across a range of creative deliverables—digital, social, brand, and product-adjacent.
  • Experience developing and managing brand systems or design languages.
  • Hands-on proficiency in Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, and motion tools (preferred).
  • Strong collaboration skills and ability to co-create with product and marketing stakeholders.
  • A strong point of view on brand and design, paired with the openness to experiment and iterate.

Nice-to-Haves

  • Background or passion for food, sustainability, or mission-driven brands.
  • Experience working in or with grocery, CPG, or retail marketing teams.
  • Exposure to app growth strategies and performance marketing.

What We Offer:

  • Competitive salary and commission structure
  • Comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, and vision insurance
  • Opportunities for professional growth and development
  • A dynamic and collaborative work environment
  • 100% remote

Flashfood is an equal opportunity employer. We celebrate diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees.
