Raytheon has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Manager, Contracts in the Land & Air Defense Systems (L&ADS) Business Area to support the rapidly growing Medium Range Air Defense (MRAD) program area including DoD, Foreign Military (FMS) and Direct Commercial Sale (DCS) opportunities. What You Will Do
- Be the Contracts lead for the development of proposals, negotiations, contractual agreements, contract execution, day-to-day administration
- Provide sound contract management to meet customer obligations, achieve company objectives and comply with company policies
- Effectively manage contractual scope and terms and conditions to ensure work is performed to the overall contract scope
- Develop and enhance positive customer relationships for working contractual matters to resolution
- Effectively communicate with senior leadership regarding matters of strategic importance to the organization
- Leverage excellent relationships with Program Managers, Engineering, Finance, Supply Chain, and other functions to drive closure on complex contractual issues and achieve business results
- Coach and mentor other Contracts team members
- Up to 10% travel will be required to customer locations and Raytheon locations in Massachusetts, Arizona, California, and Alabama
Qualifications You Must Have
- Typically requires a University Degree and a minimum of 10 years’ prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree and minimum of 7 years’ experience
- Experience as a Contracts professional working proposals, contract negotiations, and contract execution
Qualifications We Prefer
- Demonstrated ability to shape results in support of objectives, including ability to communicate and influence executive leadership
- Excellent communication skills and proven ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with complex customers
- Proven ability to work within a team environment and develop effective relationships based on respect and trust
- Demonstrated experience supporting DoD, FMS, and Direct Commercial Sales (DCS) proposals, negotiations, and program execution.
