Job Title/High-Level Position Summary:
The Senior Manager of Business Insights & Analytics role is a critical position serving across all of Prevention & Recovery Business Units (BU) working directly with the Senior Director of Revenue Operations, the BU Presidents and their VPs of Sales & Marketing. The key areas of responsibilities are to manage a team of sales operations analysts and marketing operations analysts to lean into the BUs to drive strategic planning, sales and marketing data analysis and interpretation, business insight generation, KPI development and reporting, sales & marketing segmentation, product and channel performance, process improvement, technology innovation and adoption, and ensuring data integrity is absolute.
Key Responsibilities:
The Senior Manager of Business Insights & Analytics will report into the Senior Director of Revenue Operations and will be an integral partner executing to these responsibilities:
Partner with BU Executive Leadership on the strategic plan delivering market attractiveness and competitive landscape analyses including segmentation, channel and product performance
Partner with BU Executive Leadership and Finance on the design, implementation, and management of the sales forecasting and planning processes. Establishes high levels of quality, accuracy, and process consistency in planning and forecasting approaches used by the commercial organization
Execute sales force targeting, territory optimization, and quota allocations & reporting
Refine and enhance the sales process methodology
Develop KPIs and Power BI dashboards while providing business insights of the data
Analyze and communicate product, account, territory, and channel sales performance
Partner with Finance on building a projection analysis tool to identify headwinds
Manage the MBR and QBR reporting dashboards inclusive of delivering business insights
Collaborate with Revenue Operations Commercial Systems and Infrastructure Team on new automated report creations to push to the Sales & Marketing Teams
Assists management in understanding process bottlenecks and inconsistencies
Analyze 3rd party targeting data for the go to market strategic plan, situation analysis, customer insights, sales & marketing alignment, and assist in comp design

Minimum Basic Qualifications:
10-15+ years of pharmaceutical, biotech and/or medical device experience
8-10+ years of experience in a sales operations, marketing operations, and/or data analytics role in life sciences, med device, biotech, or pharma
5+ years of leadership managing teams equal to or larger than 5 people
5-7+ years of experience working withing Power BI executing data analyses
Expert level working within Excel and PowerPoint tools
Expert level experience in sales process methodologies and sales performance management
Strong business acumen with executive presence. Experience in challenging status quo
Excellent communicator. Taking complex situations and simplifying them.
Needs to be a working leader, not just a delegator. Dive in and get the job done mentality
Highly proficient in managing analytically rigorous initiative
Deep expertise on sales automation and CRM systems
Significant change management experience
Has scaled and built sales operations and marketing operations teams
Strong collaborator. Will be required to work across multiple BUs and align on priorities
Excellent prioritization skills and meeting deadlines
Comfortable working in a challenging environment and aggressive timelines
Familiarity working with 3rd party data sources (IQVIA, Komodo, Symphony. Clarivate)
CRM (SFDC) understanding and experience reconfiguring the tool to drive sales performance
Travel Requirements:
- Travel will be less than 10% per year for team meetings and/or conferences
Desired Characteristics:
Master’s degree in a business-related field would be advantageous
Agile and able to multitask, prioritize, and work efficiently under tight deadlines
Former sales and/or marketing experience
Exceptional presentation skills and PowerPoint creation
Strong technical, analytical, and quantitative skills with experience in business analytics, KPIs, and reporting dashboards
Highly organized, and process-driven with a proactive, can-do attitude
Commitment to the successful achievement of team and organizational goals
