What you’ll be doing...

Verizon Business is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Product Manager to join our AI Connect Infrastructure and Networking Product team. As a key driver of Verizon's AI Connect growth strategy, you will be responsible for scaling product adoption and ecosystem integration across the AI infrastructure value chain—including hyperscalers, GPU cloud providers, data center developers and operators, colocation providers, real estate partners, OEMs, and other emerging AI infrastructure companies. You will be focused on scaling networking products within hyperscale or high-performance computing environments designed for AI. You will own the growth funnel from initial market identification to commercial scale: optimizing product-market fit, driving platform adoption, structuring scalable commercial frameworks, and collaborating cross-functionally with product, network engineering, finance, and legal teams to ensure every growth initiative is commercially sound and technically deliverable.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Growth Strategy & Execution: Lead the 0-to-1 growth lifecycle to ensure alignment with AI Connect revenue objectives. Drive product-market fit from initial market mapping and target identification through commercial launch and active revenue expansion.

  • Data-Driven Market Growth: Conduct thorough analysis of the AI infrastructure landscape, including data center construction pipelines, power availability, GPU deployment trends, fiber route economics, and interconnection dynamics. Leverage these insights to optimize the product go-to-market funnel, inform growth strategy, and prioritize high-value segments.

  • Ecosystem Product Strategy: Define and manage the growth roadmap across hyperscalers, data center and colocation operators, real estate partners, OEMs, and emerging AI infrastructure companies. Identify product white space to build scalable solutions that convert Verizon's fiber footprint, optical services portfolio, and AI-ready facilities into recurring infrastructure revenue.

  • Growth Modeling & Commercialization: Develop scalable commercial models spanning optical and fiber-based services, such as Wavelength Services (10G/100G/400G+), optical extensions, programmable network fabric, data center interconnection, and AI-ready facility partnerships. Establish pricing constructs, capacity commitments, and route-specific terms optimized for rapid market adoption and platform stickiness.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with Product, Network Engineering, Finance, Legal, and Sales teams to shape offers and deal terms, and to ensure seamless execution from signature through delivery.

  • Stakeholder Management: Communicate effectively and manage expectations with business sponsors, company executives, external partners, and customers, acting as a credible and technically fluent representative of Verizon AI Connect at the most senior levels.

  • Performance Measurement: Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) — pipeline value, signed contract value, revenue conversion, and partner health — to measure partnership success and inform continuous improvement.

  • Technology & Market Fluency: Possess a strong understanding of fiber products, services, and network fabric — including optical networking (DWDM), Wavelength Services, optical extensions, low-latency routing, and programmable, API-driven network fabric — along with data center fundamentals (power, cooling, density, interconnection) and the traffic patterns of AI workloads, including east-west requirements for training and data center interconnection and north-south requirements for enterprise inference. Stay ahead of the curve on emerging AI infrastructure trends to keep Verizon's strategy competitive.

  • Business Strategy: Define partnership business models, pricing strategies, target segments, execution plans, and financial business cases for AI Infrastructure and Networking opportunities.

  • Content Creation: Develop compelling partner-facing collateral, business cases, and executive presentations for internal and external stakeholders.

What we’re looking for...

You'll need to have:

  • Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.

  • Six or more years of relevant experience required, demonstrated through one or a combination of work and/or military experience, or specialized training.

  • Six or more years of relevant experience in technology and/or telecommunications.

  • Demonstrated understanding of the AI infrastructure market, including fiber networks and optical services, data centers, colocation, and interconnection.

  • Experience originating, structuring, negotiating, and closing large, complex, multi-year commercial or partnership agreements — from inception to signing.

  • Experience with business models and/or business cases for infrastructure or connectivity services.

  • Experience with Business-to-Business partnerships, enterprise sales, or corporate development.

  • Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time.

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

  • An MBA and/or Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.

  • Experience in a high-growth company or business unit, scaling a new product, partnership program, or revenue stream from early stage to significant scale.

  • Direct experience in data center development, fiber optic network development, or colocation — on either the operator or buyer side.

  • Existing senior-level relationships within hyperscale cloud providers, GPU/neocloud platforms, data center developers/operators, colocation providers, real estate/infrastructure investors, or AI infrastructure OEMs.

  • Working technical fluency in fiber and optical products and services — Wavelength Services, optical extensions, DWDM, network fabric, and low-latency routing — and data center infrastructure (power, cooling, interconnection) sufficient to lead credible conversations with network architects and infrastructure executives.

  • Familiarity with programmable and software-defined network services — API-driven provisioning, dynamic bandwidth, network-as-a-service, and self-service portals — and how they differentiate connectivity offerings for AI infrastructure customers.

  • Familiarity with AI workload networking requirements, including east-west traffic for GPU cluster interconnection, distributed training, and data center interconnection, and north-south traffic for enterprise inference and AI application delivery.

  • Experience structuring wavelength, interconnection, or data center connectivity transactions on the buy side or sell side.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to articulate complex infrastructure concepts to diverse audiences, including C-level executives.

  • Strong financial acumen: ability to build and defend business cases, pricing models, and multi-year revenue commitments using solid ROI analysis.

  • Experience navigating large, matrixed organizations and building internal coalitions to get complex deals approved and delivered.

  • Ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously.

  • Experience leading or participating in industry panel discussions.
