Job Description

Brightspeed is currently looking for a Senior Instructional Designer with facilitation and telecom experience to join our Channel Readiness Training and Communications team! This role combines deep instructional design and facilitation expertise with strong people leadership and cross-functional collaboration skills. 

In this role, you will be responsible for creating and delivering relevant new hire, upskilling and marketing related trainings as well as scripting/call flows for a diverse group of distribution channels. Those include groups such as, global call centers that support chat, telemarketing, technical issues, care, and various sales channels.

As a Senior Instructional Designer, your duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Providing leadership and mentoring to more junior designers and cross-functional team members.
  • Applying expert-level knowledge of adult learning principles and concepts, instructional design theory, learning tools, measurement, and evaluation methods
  • Creating learning materials including virtual instructor-led content, (eLearning) courses, on-the-job training guides, tutorials, simulations, videos, exams, assessments, job aids, call flows, scripting and other reference materials. ,.
  • Tracking all work/projects through structured project plans utilizing project management tools such as Asana and Jira.
  • Synthesizing organizing, and transforming data and information into usable, logical, concise, and functional training documents/solutions
  • Collaborating with sales, marketing, product, and other cross-functional partners to define target audience's learning needs, establish scope, outcomes, and objectives, as well as creating and deploying learning solutions
  • Establishing methods and tools to monitor learning during and after training to link with expected results
  • Identifying opportunities and propose creative solutions for continuous sales performance improvement based on learning industry trends, best practices and innovative methods and technologies
  • Analyzing the functionality of available ID and facilitation tools and advise on how to fulfill business goals in a scalable and innovative way
  • Maintaining and tracking learning and support materials

Qualifications

WHAT IT TAKES TO CATCH OUR EYE:

  • 5+ years of demonstrated experience in the design and development of virtual training and learning content including e-learning self-paced courses and instructor-led training for Sales enablement
  • High proficiency with Articulate 360 Suite, Vyond, Camtasia, and other course authoring tools such as Adobe Captivate, HTML, PowerPoint and Dreamweaver or similar tools.
  • Expertise in producing video content and scripts
  • Highly experienced in creating a variety of learning assets (storyboards, e-learning, virtual instructor-led activities, hybrid activities, job aids, videos, AI/gamification micro-learning, learning resources, etc.), along with associated digital badges and certifications
  • Voice-over recording experience and high proficiency in audio/video editing software
  • Keen attention to design aesthetics and visual detail
  • Instructional Design Certification preferred (ATD, SHRM, or equivalent)
  • Strategic mindset, data-driven thinker, able to derive insights from data and tie sales enablement efforts with business results
  • Experience with Learning Management systems – loading, assigning and tracking
  • Experience designing training content for telecom sales, care, technical and retention teams
