Our Internal Audit Team is recruiting for a Senior Internal Auditor and ERM Specialist, reporting to the Manager of Internal Audit assisting in the planning and performing internal SOX and operational audits, conducting SOX 404 testing, facilitating the Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) program, and executing other special projects as directed.
As a Senior Internal Auditor and ERM Specialist, you will:
- Operational Audits: Partner on audit planning and execution—from scoping to fieldwork to reporting. You'll evaluate internal controls, identify process gaps, and highlight opportunities for greater efficiency or cost savings. Your insights will shape meaningful recommendations and help teams take action. You’ll also track resolution of past findings and ensure we’re closing the loop.
- Enterprise Risk Management: Support the evolution of Clover’s ERM program. You’ll facilitate risk assessments across the business, update the enterprise risk register, and surface relevant risks and trends. You'll help drive a risk-aware mindset by working across compliance, security, and business teams to embed risk thinking into everyday decisions.
- SOX Compliance: Lead walkthroughs and testing of business and IT controls, document end-to-end processes, and identify control gaps that could impact financial reporting. You’ll stay close to operational and organizational changes to ensure SOX controls stay current—and help teams stay ahead. You'll also support our use of AuditBoard to manage testing and documentation and track status.
- Special Projects: Take on strategic audits and ad-hoc work with minimal direction—whether it’s a targeted investigation, process deep dive, or an urgent request from leadership or the Audit Committee.
- Collaboration and Impact: Act as a partner and educator to teams across Clover—explaining the ‘why’ behind controls, facilitating difficult conversations and helping teams translate guidance into action. You’ll build strong relationships with internal stakeholders, co-source teams, and external auditors, and bring the Internal Audit perspective to the table with clarity and confidence.
