Position Summary:

This job is responsible for leading the most complex technical designs that enable business strategies in accordance with architectural governance, standards and policies. Key responsibilities include facilitating deployment of the most complex technical solutions by developing templates, playbooks and automation used during implementation. Job expectations include consistently looking for opportunities to improve the reliability and efficiency of implementing the services, and influencing a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.

Individuals in this role lead the most complex technical designs that enable business strategies in accordance with architectural governance, standards and policies. This role will facilitate deployment of the most complex technical solutions by developing templates, playbooks and automation used during implementation. This role consistently looks for opportunities to improve the reliability and efficiency of implementing the services. This individual influences a culture that drives innovation and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities:

  • Serves as a consultant on a broad range of technologies, platforms, and vendor offerings to drive targeted business outcomes
  • Develops software solutions to address manual and repeatable work or inefficient processes and contributes to the technology strategy for end-to-end engineering solutions and provides feedback to the architecture teams
  • Translates business requirements into technical definitions, reference models, blueprints, and playbooks for deployment in compliance with architecture standards and policies
  • Participates in various steering committees for technical and infrastructure service domains
  • Leads the evaluation of reference models, blueprints and playbooks to ensure they are fit for purpose
  • Mentors and guides team members to ensure system design technology solutions comply with enterprise system design and engineering standards
  • Creates an inclusive and healthy working environment and help to resolve organizational impediments/blockers
  • Translate business requirements into technical definitions, reference models, blueprints, and playbooks for deployment in compliance with architecture standards and policies.
  • Act as a consultant on a broad range of technologies, platforms and vendor offerings to drive targeted business outcomes.
  • Lead the evaluation of reference models, blueprints and playbooks to ensure they are fit for purpose.
  • Contribute to the technology strategy for end-to-end engineering solutions and provide feedback to the architecture teams.
  • Create an inclusive and healthy working environment and help to resolve organizational impediments/blockers.
  • Mentor and guide Infrastructure Engineers II and Technical Analysts to ensure system design technology solutions comply with enterprise system design and engineering standards.
  • Participate in various steering committees for technical and infrastructure service domains.
  • Develop software solutions to address manual and repeatable work or inefficient processes.

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of Cloud Automation Engineer working experience
  • Significant experience writing Hashicorp Terraform configurations and modules.
  • Experience with Terraform Enterprise (TFE) tool for resource provisioning.
  • Experience in DevOps and GitOps models with infra-as-code, config-as-code, policy-as-code, etc.
  • Proficient in translating designs into fully developed Terraform code.
  • Strong knowledge of cloud adoption framework etc.
  • Solid understanding of cloud networking concepts, subnets, routing, load balancing, firewalls, and cloud security.
  • Experience in enterprise-scale environments, building highly available IaaS and PaaS solutions
  • Understanding of landing zones, cloud-native security, monitoring and logging tools, and Well-Architected Framework principals.
  • Experience with containers related technologies and CICD tools – Jenkins, pipelines, container repos, etc.
  • Experience in programming and infra-automation tools – Terraform, Ansible, Java, python, etc.
  • Experience in Cloud logging, monitoring, and observability tools
  • Proficient in at least one scripting language (i.e. Bash, Python).
  • Strong analytical, problem solving and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent collaboration skills and ability to work in a global team

Desired Qualifications:

  • Minimum of a 7-year degree in Computer Science or a related discipline
  • Experience in financial services industry
  • Experience in various public cloud service providers
  • Experience on technology and infrastructure teams
  • Experience in Linux/UNIX system administration
  • Experience with Container technologies (Kubernetes, Openshift, Docker)

Pay and benefits information

Pay range$151,500.00 - $185,000.00 annualized salary, offers to be determined based on experience, education and skill set.

Discretionary incentive eligible

This role is eligible to participate in the annual discretionary plan. Employees are eligible for an annual discretionary award based on their overall individual performance results and behaviors, the performance and contributions of their line of business and/or group; and the overall success of the Company.
