Your role at Clorox:

As the Technical Lead, you will play a crucial role in driving the technical direction of our products. This is a team leadership position in a product team that requires a combination of technical expertise, hands-on development skills, and the ability to guide and mentor a team of engineers. You will collaborate closely with the product owner (of his/her team) and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality, scalable, and innovative solutions.
This role is a critical necessity to triage our development and configuration team and a liaison to our Product Owners.

In this role, you will:

  • Provide technical leadership to the product team, guiding the design, development, and implementation of features
  • Collaborate closely with the product owner, solution architect, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and contribute to the product roadmap
  • Participate actively in the development process by writing code, conducting code reviews, and contributing to the team's coding standards and best practices
  • Contribute to the architectural decisions of the products, ensuring they align with organizational goals and standards
  • Mentor and coach team members, fostering a culture of learning and continuous improvement
  • Collaborate with the team to troubleshoot and solve complex technical problems, ensuring the stability and reliability of the product
  • Take the lead in resolving critical technical issues and challenges
  • Embrace and advocate for Agile and Scrum methodologies, participating in sprint planning, backlog refinement, and retrospective meetings
  • Contribute to technical documentation, including system architecture diagrams, API documentation, and knowledge-sharing materials
  • Serve as a subject matter expert, staying abreast of industry best practices, emerging technologies, and driving technical excellence within the team

What we look for:

  • 5+ years of experience in HR Technology or application management
  • 3+ years of Workday experience. (Workday certification preferred)
  • Proven experience as a Technical Lead or Senior Software Engineer
  • Understanding of software development best practices and design patterns
  • Extensive experience in coordinating cross-functional teams and stakeholders to achieve operational goals and deliver successful technology initiatives
  • Familiarity with product orientated operating model and Agile methodologies and tools
  • Requirement and user story documentation

Based on the breadth of our ranges, most new hires will start at Clorox in the first half of the applicable range. Your starting pay will depend on job-related factors, including relevant skills, knowledge, experience and location. The applicable salary range for every role in the U.S. is based on your work location and is aligned to one of three zones according to the cost of labor in your area.

Zone A: $106,700 - $204,900
Zone B: $97,800 - $187,900
Zone C: $88,900 - $170,800

This job is also eligible for participation in Clorox’s incentive plans, subject to the terms of the applicable plan documents and policies.
