We are living through a pivotal moment for reproductive and sexual health—and Hey Jane is uniquely positioned to help.

From day one, we've been committed to providing safe, discreet medication abortion treatment—and have helped more than 100,000 people get the care they need. Today, we offer a range of reproductive and sexual health care services from the comfort and convenience of your phone.  Our in-house clinical care team, composed of board certified doctors, advanced practice clinicians, nurses, and patient care advocates, is just a text message away. We’re committed to helping our patients get safe, discreet, judgment-free virtual health care, from a team that truly cares.

We’re looking for a high-velocity, high-vision Senior Graphic Designer to join our team and help us build the most accessible, trusted virtual abortion clinic.
You will be the engine room of our creative output, responsible for: executing a major brand identity refresh across all touchpoints; creating (and quickly iterating on) landing pages, social media, emails, presentations, printed materials, and more; concepting visuals for key campaigns; and providing design support to internal teams to maintain brand excellence throughout the company.
You are a digital-first designer who understands that great creative is a marriage of aesthetics and outcomes. You thrive in fast-paced environments, have a collaborative spirit, can manage your own queue without a PM holding your hand, are fluent in translating strategy into creative decisions, and are passionate about transforming the reproductive health care landscape through memorable designs.

Through your work, you’ll be playing a central role in expanding access to abortion care during this pivotal moment.

You are:

  • A digital native with mobile-first design sensibilities: You have 5+ years of experience with a heavy focus on digital marketing, particularly site and social media. You understand the technical nuances of web and mobile design, have experience with motion design, and have "mobile-first" as your default setting.
  • A brand design visionary: You don’t just understand how to strategically translate a brand identity into a visual identity, but you also have a track record of owning that expression—from efforts as small as a patient treatment guide to as large as a multi-state billboard campaign.
  • A rapid generator: You thrive on iteration. You can quickly produce multiple creative directions for A/B testing and pivot your designs based on performance data and feedback.
  • A master multitasker: You act as your own project manager. You are a highly organized, reliable self-starter, and capable of juggling multiple high-priority workstreams while hitting every deadline (and aren’t rattled by shifting priorities).
  • Technically (and accessibility) fluent: You are a master of Figma and Adobe Creative Suites, but can also translate your designs into Canva and Google Slide templates for cross-functional teams to use. You consider AI tools a fundamental part of your design stack, and are constantly identifying and testing new tools to automate repetitive tasks and support design at scale.
  • Mission driven: You have a genuine passion for Hey Jane’s work and want to use your creative talents to improve access to reproductive health care and make a tangible impact on people's lives.
  • Startup-tested, consumer-focused: Experience in a fast-paced startup or consumer-facing company is a plus.

You will:

  • Bring our brand refresh to life: You’ll be central in taking our newly defined brand identity and owning the execution across Hey Jane’s entire ecosystem—ensuring every touchpoint feels cohesive and consistent, while also helping to build a brand that is approachable, accessible, and trusted.
  • Design for high-impact channels: Create clear, compelling, high-converting assets for key digital touchpoints (including site landing pages, paid/organic social media, and email marketing) as well as physical materials (including promotional flyers, posters, guides, merch, and more). You’ll leverage AI-supported workflows to rapidly prototype, generate variations for A/B testing, and scale creative production without sacrificing craft or brand integrity.
  • Own the design lifecycle: Manage your design process from initial concept and wireframe to final handoff and asset organization.
  • Collaborate for growth: Partner closely with the Marketing team to create and test assets that drive patient acquisition and community retention, while also supporting cross-functional needs from our Business, Product, and People Ops teams.
  • Be the brand visual guardian: Ensure high-quality design standards are met across the company, acting as the primary point of contact for digital and print creative execution.

Compensation:

  • $90-110k salary + generous equity
