We are seeking a talented individual to join our Marsh McLennan Ireland FP&A team at Marsh McLennan and will be based in Dublin.
The role will be dedicated to supporting the Marsh McLennan business in Ireland. The successful applicant will report to the Ireland CFO and support the Ireland business leaders, with responsibility for preparing budget, forecast and month end analysis.
This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working three days a week in the office.
We will count on you to:
- Manage the forecasting, budgeting and strategic planning activities for the market.
- Partner with the business and leadership so timely actions are implemented.
- Ensure consistent use of financial information across the business.
- Focus on key FP&A and business priorities.
- Assess business issues, and provide strategic and operational advice to support growth, productivity and profit improvement.
- Assist the FP&A team and business in the analysis, strategy and planning of local and global projects.
- Analyse client account data and seek opportunities to improve financial performance.
What you need to have:
- Sufficient years of experience in Finance/Accounting preferably in an insurance/ re-insurance or insurance brokerage environment.
- Professional Accounting Qualification with relevant work experience in a corporate/ multinational finance department.
- Microsoft Excel, Power Point skill to a high standard; SmartView reporting user experience desirable.
- Enthusiasm and confidence to take ownership for partnering effectively with the business to achieve financial commitments.
- Ability to prioritise multiple demands and guide stakeholders to focus on the key issues and delivery on a timely basis and meeting deadlines.
- The successful candidate should be diligent and enthusiastic with a proactive and flexible style of working as well as a proven ability to collaborate.
- Proven ability to build relationships, influence, and communicate effectively.
- Personality to interface regularly with various team members and lines of business to clearly articulate issues and solutions.
- A questioning mind-set as well as strong attention to detail.
