What You'll Be Doing:
- Drive planning, scoping, and delivery of complex implementations — anticipate blockers, manage customer timelines, escalate issues, and ensure launch readiness across functions.
- Serve as technical escalation point for integration and custom implementation issues. Debug deep integration problems and design robust solutions tailored to client-specific constraints.
- Lead technical discovery calls with customers, translate ambiguous requirements into scoped stories, and build trust with customer stakeholders.
- Propose and influence architectural decisions — design implementation approaches optimized for product strengths and constraints; recommend process or feature improvements based on real-world deployment learnings.
- Represent the Forward Deployed Engineering function in product feedback, feature prioritization, and cross-functional alignment (working with Product, Engineering, Customer Success, Product Marketing, etc.).
- Drive continuous improvement: create and own best-in-class delivery playbooks, onboarding processes, internal training, and technical mentorship for junior FDEs.
- Communicate findings and recommendations clearly to customers and internal stakeholders; influence roadmap priorities through structured, data-driven feedback.
- This role will be heavily hands-on with coding, including writing and debugging production and integration code in languages such as Python, JavaScript, and SQL as part of customer implementations and internal tooling.
Who We Hope You Are:
- B.S. in Computer Science or a related technical discipline, or equivalent experience
- 6-8+ years of software engineering, systems engineering, or technical product/program management experience
- Deep expertise across multiple product domains; ability to debug complex integrations and build custom solutions.
- Strong communication skills — able to lead discovery sessions, manage client expectations, present technical tradeoffs, and influence stakeholders.
- Demonstrated track record mentoring or leading other engineers, creating documentation/playbooks, and contributing to internal process improvements and knowledge sharing.
- Cross-functional coordination skills, organizational leadership in delivery settings, and ability to own multiple customer timelines concurrently.
- Coding competency in SQL, JavaScript and Python.
$150,000 - $190,000K a year
Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including candidate location, experience and expertise and may vary from the amounts listed above. Total compensation package does include stock options, benefits and additional perks.
