AGE Solutions is looking for a Senior Firewall Administrator to provide overall supervision for the firewall team to include planning and managing firewall team projects, ensuring work is scheduled properly to obtain maximum use of resources; and ensuring accurate and timely submission of required reports.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide overall supervision for the firewall team to include planning and managing firewall team projects.
  • Must have the ability to resolve problems, allocate resources, manage personnel, and monitor operation performance taking direction from the government to ensure complete satisfaction.
  • Work under general supervision, developing requirements from inception to conclusion.
  • Must have working knowledge and understanding of industry standard network environments, firewall and security hardware/software, and Information Assurance Best Practices.
  • Develop required specifications for simple to moderately complex problems.
  • Coordinates with the third-party vendors and government user representatives to ensure accurate solutions and user satisfaction on technical matters.
  • In depth knowledge of LAN and WAN operations.
  • Knowledge of industry standard Incident Ticket Tracking systems for inputting incident tickets and creating work orders.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of DoD and DLA security regulations, guidelines and policies including IA standards.
  • Working knowledge of the installation, configuration and day-to-day sustainment of network equipment to include firewalls and other network appliances.

Required Skills, Qualifications and Experience:

  • Citizenship and Clearance:
    • US Citizenship is required.
    • Must have and maintain a current DoD Secret clearance.
  • Experience: 5 years of relevant experience to include:
    • Working knowledge and understanding of industry standard network environments, firewall and security hardware/software, and Information Assurance Best Practices.
    • In depth knowledge of LAN and WAN operations.
    • Knowledge of industry standard Incident Ticket Tracking systems for inputting incident tickets and creating work orders.
    • Comprehensive knowledge of DoD and DLA security regulations, guidelines and policies including IA standards.
    • Working knowledge of the installation, configuration and day-to-day sustainment of network equipment to include firewalls and other network appliances.
  • Certification Requirements:
    • Computing Environment (must have one of the following):
      • CheckPoint Certified Security Associates (CCSA)
      • CheckPoint Certified Security Expert (CCSE)
      • CheckPoint Security Master (CCSM)
    • IAT-II certification (must have one of the following):
      • CCNA Security
      • CYSA+
      • GSEC
      • Security+CE
      • SSCP
      • CASP+CE
      • CISA
      • CISSP
      • CCNP Security
    • Location: This is a remote position within the United States.

Work Environment and Physical Demand

  • Must be able to sit for long periods of time
  • Must be able to lift 30 pounds

Compensation: $120,000 - $130,000

This position is part of a pipeline for a future opportunity supporting a DoD customer. Employment is contingent upon contract award and government customer approval.
