DESCRIPTION:

Talos Energy is seeking a Financial Analyst to support corporate financial modeling, strategic planning, and executive‑level reporting. This role will be responsible for maintaining the Company’s corporate financial model and supporting strategic planning initiatives through scenario analysis, long‑range planning and decision‑support analytics

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Maintain and enhance the corporate financial model, including cash flow, liquidity, and leverage & valuation metrics
  • Support the annual budgeting & monthly forecasting cycle and strategic planning initiatives.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and ad‑hoc reporting packages for management and the Board of Directors.
  • Analyze variances versus budget, forecast, and prior periods and effectively communicate key drivers & messaging
  • Partner with FP&A, Accounting, Treasury, Corporate Development and Operations to ensure accuracy and consistency of financial data.
  • Drive process improvements, reporting standardization, and development of financial systems (e.g., OneStream)

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field required
  • Minimum of 2 years of Investment Banking, Management Consulting, Corporate Finance or Accounting
  • Basic understanding of corporate finance principals, including financial statements, modeling, valuation and capital structure
  • Basic understanding of oil and gas reserves

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:

  • Self-starter with the ability to perform detailed analytical work with speed and accuracy;
  • Ability to organize and prioritize
  • Flexibility to work a demanding and flexible schedule;
  • Effective communication, both orally in person and in writing;
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically MS Excel and MS Powerpoint;
  • Experience with EPM tool such as OneStream, Anaplan, etc.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Employee must be able to sit for extended periods of time and have use of arms and hands in repetitive motion. A fair amount of standing and walking is also required for the position.
