The Senior Financial Analyst is responsible for performing advanced financial analysis, forecasting, and strategic decision support for the organization. This role exercises independent judgment and discretion in the evaluation of complex merchandise and operational data and provides expert analytical guidance to management.
This Analyst plays a key role in developing financial plans, identifying trends, assessing business performance, and influencing operational and strategic decisions. The Senior Financial Analyst operates with minimal supervision, partners cross functionally with leaders across the organization, and contributes materially to the achievement of business objectives.

- Partner with management to create and develop financial forecasts and plans.
- Use Microsoft Excel based financial models to prepare month-end reports.
- Forecast, analyze and summarize trends in sales, margin, expense and other operational metrics to identify trends, risks, and opportunities impacting the business.
- Design, build, and maintain advanced financial models using multiple data sources to support strategic planning and scenario analysis.
- Interpret financial and operational data and translate insights into actionable recommendations for management and executive stakeholders.
- Analyze detailed expenses, including components of SG&A, buying and occupancy.
- Monitor financial performance during period close, proactively identify variances or anomalies, and advise management and accounting team on implications and potential actions.
- Apply professional discretion in utilizing multiple systems and software applications to execute tasks, prioritize work, manage multiple initiatives, and determine analytical approaches.
- Perform other professional level duties and responsibilities as assigned, consistent with the exempt nature of the role.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, Economics or related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of progressive, professional financial analysis experience, preferably in retail or consumer facing industries.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Power BI, with demonstrated ability to create complex models and analyses.
- Strong understanding of financial planning, forecasting, and performance management concepts.
- Demonstrated ability to exercise independent judgment, solve complex and unstructured problems, and make data driven recommendations.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial information to non financial audiences.
- High degree of integrity and ability to manage sensitive and confidential information.
- Bilingual English and Spanish a plus.

- Comfortable when challenged with difficult, unstructured problems that must be solved quickly.
