What We Need: 

As a Senior Engineering Manager, you will be a key leader reporting to the VP of Engineering. This role is instrumental in guiding an engineering team toward building and maintaining cutting-edge software solutions that drive the success of our business processes. You will oversee home-grown software development hosted in Azure as well as the integration of third-party packages. Join us in shaping an agile, innovative organization from the ground up!  

What You Will Do: 

  • Build and lead a 4-8 engineer product area team focused on delivering innovative and impactful technology solutions.  
  • Collaborate closely with Product Management, Design, and Operations counterparts to develop and execute product roadmaps.  
  • Implement process and technology improvements to enhance quality, development velocity, observability, and predictability within your team, while sharing best practices across the organization.  
  • Drive modern code review, unit and integration testing, and CI/CD practices to ensure high-quality software delivery.  
  • Coach and mentor software engineers at all levels to help them grow in their roles.  
  • Influence the broader organization on technology, process, and strategic direction.  

What You Have:

  • BS in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field with 5-7 years of software development experience, including at least three years in an engineering management role, or equivalent experience.  
  • Proven experience hiring and managing teams of mixed direct-hire and contractor engineers in a remote environment.  
  • Expertise leading software development in a cloud environment, with a preference for Azure.  
  • Experience managing product teams developing end-user software for consumers or business users.  
  • Strong knowledge of modern CI/CD processes, test automation, observability, and experimentation/feature flagging tools for rapid development and deployment.  
  • Familiarity with regulated industries protecting PII/PHI (HIPAA, GDPR, etc.).  
  • Experience in healthcare-related software development for prescribers, providers, or payers is a plus.
