Your Impact on our Mission

As the Senior Engineering Manager for our Sponsored Results team, you will be at the helm of shaping the future of one of Zocdoc's largest growth engines. You will work closely with product, engineering, and sales teams to optimize and scale our Sponsored Results platform, helping to drive revenue growth by improving client bidding strategies and ad performance. Your leadership will empower your team to create full-stack, robust solutions that increase conversion, spend efficiency, and build long-lasting client trust. As a business owner, you will ensure the team focuses on high-impact projects, driving value for clients while optimizing internal processes.

Your day-to-day is...

  • Leading, managing, and growing a diverse team of engineers, driving initiatives to improve Sponsored Results' algorithm and bidding mechanisms.
  • Partnering closely with product and sales teams, ensuring technical alignment with business goals and focusing on key client acquisition and retention efforts.
  • Overseeing the development of features aimed at improving user experience and driving better experiences for patients and providers aiming to grow their businesses
  • Supporting both high performance machine learning and full-stack development initiatives, ensuring the engineering team builds solutions with a focus on scale, performance, and reliability.
  • Developing and executing a technical strategy that focuses on business growth, from improving bidding algorithms to driving competition and growth for clients.
  • Championing mentorship, career development, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement within the team.
  • Collaborating with other cross-functional teams to ensure SPO initiatives are well-integrated within the broader Zocdoc platform.

You’ll be successful in this role if you have...

  • Success with leading full-stack development teams, particularly in consumer-facing products.
  • Experience with machine learning and advertising platforms is highly desirable.
  • Strong business acumen with a proven track record in driving growth through data-driven decisions and product leadership.
  • Expertise in building and scaling complex systems that impact client success, with a focus on bidding algorithms and auction models.
  • Familiarity with cloud environments (e.g., AWS) and the scalability needs of high-traffic platforms.
  • Excellent communication skills, able to align stakeholders and drive cross-functional collaboration.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a focus on ownership, accountability, and high-impact execution.

Zocdoc is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. Salary ranges are determined through alignment with market data. Base salary offered is determined by a number of factors including the candidate’s experience, qualifications, and skills. Certain positions are also eligible for variable pay and/or equity; your recruiter will discuss the full compensation package details.

$230,000$345,000 USD
