Join the team responsible for bringing Dotdash Meredith’s portfolio of brands to life through real-world products and services, including the Better Homes & Gardens Collection at Walmart, The Southern Living Collection at Dillard’s, and the Coastal Living Collection with Universal Furniture.
The Brand Partnerships & Licensing team is charged with growing the presence of our branded consumer products and services, partnering with retailers and manufacturers to drive consumer awareness, consideration and purchase. This Sr. Editor will be responsible for managing a critical facet of our Better Homes & Gardens Collection at Walmart: curating and publishing a best-in-class online experience for our products sold online. This role requires someone who is passionate about search-focused writing and editing, products, and shopping, and can lead the creation of performative product copy to drive online sales growth. The ideal candidate will excel at both the editorial and analytical aspects of the role.
Hybrid 3x a week- (Des Moines)
In-office Expectations: This position is hybrid in-office, with the ability to work remotely for up to 2 days per week.

Conduct keyword and competitive research to identify product-level attributes needed for individual product descriptions and feature bullets for new and existing products available as part of the Better Homes & Gardens Collection at Walmart
Develop a plan for enhancing copy on existing products, working with leadership to prioritize, develop timelines, and project manage the publication of optimized content
Use data and analytics to brainstorm and guide content decisions; track and use performance data to adjust editorial strategy and programming efforts
Work with internal systems to generate search-optimized description copy, editing and fact-checking to ensure best-in-class results
Collaborate closely with internal and external team members in business, photography and product development teams to compile vendor asset packages for each product being sold online

Provide status summaries of key projects to team leaders/members
Communicate effectively throughout the organization on your goals and objectives
Collaborate with Dotdash Meredith editorial teams to identify new opportunities for product coverage across the network
The Role’s Minimum Qualifications and Job Requirements:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, English, Communications, Marketing, or related field
Experience: 4+ years SEO-writing and research experience, preferably for large publisher or retailer
