The Role

We are seeking an exceptional Senior Director of Software Engineering to join our leadership team as a strategic partner in transforming our technology stack. This role requires the right blend of technical expertise and managerial excellence to lead multiple software teams, including development and QA teams (internal employees and international contractors). You must be a change agent, helping drive the implementation and adoption of our new ERP platform (DBOSS), Customer Portals, and AI platforms. These technology platforms are the heart of our business, relied upon by our customers and team members 24/7.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Help shape our engineering culture by leading and developing multiple software engineering teams (dev team, QA team) of both internal employees and international contractors
  • Partner with executive leadership to help own and drive technology transformation initiatives
  • Champion AI adoption and integration across development teams, including evaluation and implementation of AI-powered development tools and workflows
  • Foster a culture of “AI-first” thinking while ensuring responsible AI practices and governance
  • Architect and oversee implementation of solutions using our core tech stack: MuleSoft, SQL, Snowflake, .NET, and OutSystems
  • Establish engineering best practices, standards, and processes across teams
  • Participate in API strategy and implementation to support business objectives
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver mission-critical infrastructure solutions
  • Mentor and develop engineering talent while building high-performing teams
  • Champion innovation and continuous improvement in our software development lifecycle

Requirements

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field
  • Minimum of 10+ years of real-world software engineering leadership experience
  • Proven track record of successfully managing and scaling engineering teams of at least 20 team members.
  • Strongly Preferred: Hands-on experience with data center operations, colocation facilities, cloud platforms, hosting environments, and enterprise infrastructure management

Technical Expertise:

  • Strong API development and architecture experience (required)
  • Advanced SQL and .NET skills and database management expertise (required)
  • Experience with MuleSoft, MSSQL, .NET, and OutSystems technologies preferred
  • Deep understanding of software development best practices and methodologies
  • Experience with cloud platforms and modern infrastructure
