Workiva is seeking a Senior Director of Product Marketing, Data & Analytics to lead the technical direction and marketing strategy for our next-generation data and analytics capabilities. This strategic and visionary leader will partner with executive and functional leaders across Product Management, Engineering, Growth, Partnerships, and GTM teams. The ideal candidate is passionate about leveraging data, analytics, and AI to build intelligent, data-driven products that deliver world-class customer experiences.
The Sr. Director will help shape the future of data and intelligence within the Workiva Platform while driving alignment and achievement of organizational objectives. Your leadership will inspire our teams to build and deliver products that deliver unprecedented value to our customers and partners, making you an integral part of our journey towards achieving and exceeding our ambitious goals. The Sr. Director will provide strategic leadership in collaboration with Product Management, Growth, and Partner teams to shape the roadmap for data and analytics capabilities, including new products and partnerships that bring Workiva’s intelligent SaaS platform strategy to life. This role will also serve as an internal and external evangelist for Workiva’s Data and Analytics offerings, working closely with Sales, prospects, customers, and partners to deeply understand market needs and real-world use cases.
This role will partner across the global Product Marketing team to help lead the process of creating go-to-market (GTM) strategies for products, portfolios of solutions, as well as relevant buyer personas. This includes product positioning/messaging, marketing strategy and sales enablement. You will support marketing and sales areas, identifying emerging market opportunities and focusing sales efforts to achieve revenue goals by solution, market, and industry categories.
The Sr. Director will participate in the product strategy and the road map planning process, representing the market perspective and supporting product decisions based on significant sales, customer and market feedback. This role may manage multiple teams of Product Marketers and cross functional teams directly or indirectly.
What You’ll Do:
Define and drive global strategic product goals and initiatives for Workiva’s next-generation data and analytics capabilities
Create go-to-market (GTM) strategies for assigned products, markets, and solutions, ensuring execution drives business outcomes
Lead the development, execution, and delivery of thought leadership content (e.g., webinars, blogs, white papers) to build credibility, increase awareness, and accelerate pipeline
Collaborate with Partnerships, Product Management, New Product Growth, Sales, Sales Operations, and Field Readiness to ensure successful rollout of sales enablement and support tools
Develop compelling product positioning and conduct in-depth competitive analysis to differentiate Workiva’s data and analytics capabilities in a dynamic market
Align data platform and analytics capabilities with the broader Workiva Platform vision, clearly communicating strategic priorities across Product Marketing, Product Management, Strategy, and Growth teams
Identify and surface critical functional, ecosystem, and operational requirements to better serve target markets
Provide consulting and strategic support to Marketing and Sales, identifying and responding to emerging market opportunities
Serve as a thought leader and influencer through industry speaking engagements and published content
Act as the Product Marketing subject matter expert for data and analytics, sharing best practices across marketing programs and GTM motions
Influence future business strategy at the leadership and executive levels

What You'll Need
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, or similar area of study preferred
12+ years of experience in roles relating to product marketing, product development, product management, finance and accounting, audit, consulting, financial services, and product sales
Preferred Qualifications
8+ years of people management preferred
Experience in business-to-business (B2B) tech marketing, presales consulting, technology consulting, etc. with a preference for Software as a Service (SaaS) expertise
3+ years focused on data and analytics products, working closely with enterprise Finance teams, data scientists, analysts, and engineers
Proficiency implementing product-led growth GTM t strategies, approaches, and tactics
Knowledge and experience working in a FedRAMP or heavily regulated data environment a plus
Deep understanding of data landscape, e.g. data lake, cloud data warehouse, data pipeline, data prep, data catalog, data democratization and governance
Experienced in leveraging artificial intelligence (machine learning, natural language processing, cognitive services, robotic process automation) to enhance platform value and deliver data products
Effective communication skills across all organizational levels, spanning from buyers and end-users to executive management
Demonstrated success in collaborating and influencing cross-functional leadership teams, including Sales, Marketing, Product, Sales Operations, Enablement, and Customer Success
Strategic mindset with the ability to derive insights from data for decision-making
Proven ability to innovate and optimize business-driven strategies
Travel Requirements & Working Conditions
Up to 40% travel for internal planning meetings or company events

How You’ll Be Rewarded
✅ Salary range in the US: $185,000.00 - $296,000.00✅ A discretionary bonus typically paid annually
✅ Restricted Stock Units granted at time of hire
